Yep. Although the most important factor is the arms to legs proportions, rather than in game character height. My avatar is very small, but the arms to legs proportions are realistic
Same for me. The game's floor level is around 6" up of the actual floor & when I stand up it rises up too. I've tried all the suggestions by the Oculus chat fake tech. I'm SO frustrated!
Hehe, ur avatar is so cute and fits to ur voice, that whatever u talking about is interesting to listen. I bet, i'd interested to watch even something like math lessons in this format :D
lol never had this issue up until recently. I think something in the game went to go check the files or whatever and now its risen the real floor from the virtual floor.
need help my avatar is stuck on t pose even if i made it humaoid and use enforce t pose, it looks fined on unity on my avatar but when i play it on the game vrchat its still on t pose even the menu my avatar is on t pose.
Struggling to figure out the exact reason as to why my viewpoint of my avatar is different to how others see it. So if I ask someone to put their finger on my nose, they place their finger like a good 4 inchs higher. Is it the height setting in VRchat, the avatar viewpoint or something else? Any help would be great I'm just playing a guessing game atm.
It depends how the Viewpoint was created, sometimes it gets put to low or to high (normally you put it right between the eyes of your avi so the view difference of an inside and outside experience is the same. Also High heels and even foot bones can cause problems if they are not angled properly like Jamie said. If you have the Model files/Avatar files you can check it out yourself in unity and test it even.
I did find in most models you can easily fix this in unity when setting the rig, using a ruler to scale the arms forearm and wrist out so they are the same lengths of the legs and now I can touch the floor! Some models may need to be done in blender though as I've found.
You probably need to make sure your "Real user height" is set to your actual height. If it is, but you still have issues, you may need to lengthen your avatar's legs.
Hi i have a little problem i was in vrchat on PC And whenever i looked into mirror i couldnt see my Avatar And when i was in vrchat server then i couldnt see orthers i just saw weird shape And nicknames ://
I was planning on making my avatar my height but it's nice to know it's a good idea!!
Great video. Thanks!

@@JamieVatarga Oh i wish i had a vr system already!!! Can't wait!
It's the opposite for me, my floor is way too high so i'm really short in game, thanks for the explanation.

Awe thanks
I never thought of that, but yeah. His voice does match up to the avatar nicely, except in some areas where the avatar seems a bit too excited.
Yes this is true
I tried getting a different avatar. And I'm still floating 5 ft off the ground
SAMMEE ITS ANNOYING
So I have to edit my avatars legs in order to sync the two floors.
lol never had this issue up until recently. I think something in the game went to go check the files or whatever and now its risen the real floor from the virtual floor.
I put my Height to the max and i had long arms

I've found that sometimes things like high heels on an avatar, or certain ways the foot bones are angled on upload can have this effect for me
It depends how the Viewpoint was created, sometimes it gets put to low or to high (normally you put it right between the eyes of your avi so the view difference of an inside and outside experience is the same. Also High heels and even foot bones can cause problems if they are not angled properly like Jamie said. that is super useful

With my game I’m like underneath the floor and Idk how to fix it

Try clearing your cache, and also make sure your game is fully up to date. There was an update the other day, but some had trouble getting it on steam
@@JamieVatarga okay! I Will try it
