Regarding perks, I am okay not having all of them at the end but I want to feel like I have a full build at the end of the game and I also want to have maybe an optional challenge prologue where I get to play a little bit with my full build. The best game I can reference with this kind of satisfying feeling is Shadowrun: Hong Kong.
I think it could be neat to have a few of the dream/challenge levels become available only after finishing the story, and those extra levels would be what provide the final few perk points so you can fully max out each character.
6 years worth of thoughtful game design goodness condensed into an hour long master class! Also lol "John Window" as a developer for a game about pushing people out of windows. (Not actually his name, but funny since it sounded like it as Hbomber pointed out.) 😂
I really like how the nercomancer medic still shoots them when they are very clearly dead. I also had the concept for an Artificer Demolitionist who embodies the phrase, "I didn't ask 'how big the room is' I said I cast Fireball." He weilds MSL32 Rotary Scroll Launcher. His upsides would be superb damage, and his downsides being a habit for freindly fire (Iiteral and Figurative). He would also have some utility, mainly from shaping the environment. Things like Fabricating explosive barrels, or temporary cover.
The backstory as to How he got his powers was that it manifested when he was trying to defuse a bomb, causing him to transmute it into Iron Pyrite (fools gold).
49:20 When I played Invisible Inc always minimized the wall because it was a necessity to see stuff in the game. I don't know why they give you the option to see full walls in Invisible Inc, I guess for screenshots? In tactical breach wizards you made your UI good by default by only showing the bottom of walls.
If all the perks are good, I want to be able to unlock them all. I at least want to be able to try all of them without replaying the entire game. Finding unexpected interactions between different perks is a fun thing to explore.
I was excited for the mention of the possible addition of respec points, since I imagine by the end of the game I would've accumulated quite a few of those, so I was thinking I could use those to rebuild the character to try new combos in the dreams and challenge levels.
I can't remember if it was the case months ago when this video was posted, but now (October 2024) TH-cam is saying that this video features two people: Nick Frost (English actor, comedian and screenwriter) and Steve Clark (English guitarist best known from Def Leppard, who died in 1991) I think Tom is Nick and Hbomberguy is Steve, unless Tom is Steve and Hbomberguy is Nick
Really weird nitpick about the map - it’s supposed to be in the southern hemisphere, but the vertical lines seem to be getting further apart as they go down, which is what you’d expect in the northern hemisphere (bc they’re approaching the equator). They should be going the other direction (getting closer together) Anyway I’m in act 3 rn, really good game, I have to get to that level of nitpick to complain about anything :P
1:21:07 YES! Absolutely. All perks earlier = better. I hate reaching the end of the game and unlocking my last perk/ability/whatever 5 minutes before the game ends. I want time to enjoy having every power I deserve.
Oh, btw Tom, I noticed when I end my turn at times enemies movewithout any indication. Not sure why, but it would be nice to forsee movement intentions since I could use that to inform my choices for next turn and potentially get an ambush with the Navy seer.
I wonder if this is portable on andriod because the graphics remind me of some android games not that its bad mind your design is a beauty its just that turn based games (usely) dosent need a 100$ pc I would love playing this one android sadly as a game dev myself i dont think android it worth the effort😢
Finally an upload to your channel I can't watch
Now you have to do a Gridcannon gameplay
Can't wait for 4 hours long video essay about SWAT Wizards
Do you get a cameo in the game? I want to stun enemies with a 2 hour documentary on vaccine hesitancy
@@TheFridgeasaur I want him to be a character who smashes through walls (slowly) with an axe. :)
Wasn't expecting to see you interact with my favorite gamdev, a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
I misheard a part at the start and thought Hbomb described it as "Pause-pounding action" - which is a fair summary of how I play heat signature.
This is the crossover I never dared to dream about
right? I can't believe what I'm seeing
What a random collection of words that I clicked Immediately.

Such a wild crossover that I never saw coming. Can't wait to watch this over and over
ffenest is window in welsh, so the word always made perfect sense to me
I have been looking forward to TBW for heckin YEARS
13:35 Very mild spoiler - I do love how in the game proper, "squatting and standing up" over and over can have an actual purpose

Less pulse-pounding action than pulse-pounding suspense 😂

Or maybe Tom and Harry are Nick and Steve Clark is Steve Clark.
I want a mode after beating the game where you can go through with every perk

I am dying to play the full game! Practically falling out a window to do it!
I am here for the Defenestration Trilogy
Well, this is a crossover.
gah, spoilers!
I'll have to watching this after the full game comes out!

greatest crossover of all time
This is a very cool game don't get me wrong but seeing this makes me yearn more for an expanded Heat Signature.
Earballing is a perfectly cromulent phrase.
Cool that you dudes know each other. How did that happen?
never clicked a video faster in my life
TH-camrs really be pushing for that 10 minute mark these days
Requested feedback for Tom:
Do I want the ability to grab every perk by the end of the game? Yes yes yes yes yes yes (please)
Oh, so the beta goes that far? Damn
I think he’s playing the full game.
When I played the demo it did not go that far
I wonder if this is portable on andriod because the graphics remind me of some android games not that its bad mind your design is a beauty
its just that turn based games (usely) dosent need a 100$ pc
I would love playing this one android sadly as a game dev myself i dont think android it worth the effort😢
You could stream it from a PC using moonlight if you have one! I do this all the time on my phone
Ofcourse you're mates with Harry, just two cool dudes duding it up
two good eggs
lovely to see
Woo hoo! TBW!!
I will now pirate your game
why? are you poor?
