- Great way to end one year and start the new year! Papa bear and I dropped everything we had going on to pick this sweet lady up from its long time Pennsylvania owner. 1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Coupe D’Elegance!

Back in the mid 80's I had a 1983 Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance Coupe. Black w/red leather interior.
Those U-Haul trailers are usually pretty good and convenient in my experience, so good to see it hauled that beautiful car so well 👌

Back when Cadillac was luxury and not a bumpy stiff riding computer on low profile tires. Cadillac and the rest of the luxo brands have lost their way! This Brougham coupe is one of the best body styles Cadillac has ever produced! Thanks Anthony!

Nice find! The chimes took me back to my 1st car, a 1984 Sedan deVille...same interior color (but not the velour, just the regular Heather knit cloth)..when I got the car my pap would always ask to hear me start it up over the phone just to hear the chimes go off. And Happy Birthday to Papa Bear!

My grandparents had a gray coupe Deville just like this one. I used to love that car when I was a little kid. I thought we were so fancy driving around in it haha! Awesome find/purchase man 👏✌️
I felt the same riding in my aunt's triple black 1978 Eldorado from 1978 to 1986!

beautiful example of a rarer version of a classic Cadillac Brougham my late maternal grandmother had a used 1981 coupe Deville when I was very young and its because of that car that I fell in love with Cadillacs
That car is absolutely gorgeous! Love love love the color combination! Absolutely, an awesome car! What an elegant lady! I too love Astro roof cars! I'd rather it be equipped with leather seats, but those velour seats are definitely cozy too! Great score!

Hey Anthony, what a find! I'm in PA and just picked up a one owner 1984 Seville Roadster with 33k on the odometer. It even came with the build sheet, original documents and service records, and unused gold keys if you can believe it. This is my second 4100; my family nor I haven't had any issues with these engines despite their notoriety. I love the color of this coupe! Keep it up :)
I had an 85 Fleetwood Coupe, it was white with white leather, with red carpet and red dash. I bought it in 1998 and it had 75k. I drove it daily for like 4 years. Man it was beautiful. I’d love to own another one of those one day. Love your channel, keep doing your thing Ant.

My grandparents had an 81’ Fleetwood Brougham for several years, white with blue interior. That car was really nice, just floated down the road, and it seemed as big as all outdoors! It had the 4-6-8, they had trouble with it. My grandpa took it to a guy that disabled it. Great car, that’s the only real trouble they had with it.

You just keep finding them, more than I would have believed was still out there in this condition/mileage. Love the Balboa Blue and white top....for me the white leather interior combo starts the drooling process, lol. But the blue cloth is not so unbearable. Happy New Year to you!

I always loved the way these old Cadillacs sounded when starting up.
Reminds me of my Aunt Sylvia's 1974 Fleetwood Brougham which had a different engine but sounded the same.

What a Beauty! Love the 2 door, also Carbureted..,as a kid was fun warming dads caddy up, pumping gas 2x then hold half way then crank it over! I had a 86' seville with the 4100 motor fuel injected, I bought with 23,000 by 30k the camshaft went, apparently they were Notorious for that!

The Locks on this Cadillac are all dried out.
A shot of silicone in all of them would make them operate much smoother and not break off a key.
Tomorrow I am buying a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis GS with 77,000 original miles. Kept in a barn never driven in the rain or the snow and had only one owner. He had multiple cars and multiple houses so you know he wasn't cheap and took care of his stuff. The door seals aren't even cracking. There isn't even a butt print in the passenger side and the back seat has never been set in.
I absolutely love these older cars they were built to last without a whole lot of frills. Not to mention the parts are absolutely dirt cheap. A water pump for 20 bucks, a brake caliper for 22 bucks. Not to mention you can do most of the work yourself. No damn computer telling you that you don't have enough vacuum pressure to turn on your goddamn heat. I wish I had found your channel earlier. It seems like you I have some nice cars for sale. I would have like to look at them before I made my purchase.

Someone told me years ago that the 4100 with the chrome covers in 83 were a lifetime warranty engine, I wonder if he was bs’ing me.
I owned a 1980 Coupe DeVille. Had a carbureted 368 V8. I wonder if you can swap the front from a 1990-93. I always like the Euro lights and the sleeker looking front end on those last few years broughams.

Was diesel an option for the Fleetwood? I didn't think it was. I know the Eldorado and Seville had that option. Buick Electra and Olds Regency(?) had diesel as an option.

@@TheNumismatist1812 Okay. They must not have sold many. In the yrs I have been watching Fleetwoods for sale I don't recall seeing a diesel. That must have been the same engine used in the Electra and Regency.
@@timw8228 it was a limited deal. I think only a thousand of them made. They did also offer an Oldsmobile 5.7 in some of their models as well. I’ve also heard rumor some Cadillacs even had a 6.2

I had an 83 Buick Regal Limited with 4.1 V6, leather buckets and Astro roof. The V6 sucked, and the roof leaked like a sieve. As soon as I get my current car paid off- I’ll be hitting up Anthony for a DeVille
