This guy has the most depressing tone. I find it so hard to listen to him
Blame the Alaska/Hawaiian purchase on SW Airlines and their price cutting to bankrupt Hawaiian.
Blame Hawaiians trash customer service and ability to even process a ticket already purchased.
That's probably the 15 Fatty's sitting around the luggage drop at hnl
blame folks who are "cheap"...and fall head over heels for "2 bags fly free" offers...... I know HA has a LOT more personnel than SW, but to stay competitive also, they should try to closely match SW prices.....but the bag fee probably WILL make a difference! $20 a piece for one luggage, maybe $10 is ok.
You know Hawaiian already filed for bankruptcy even before southwest came in the picture...
I remember when island air the last inter island Carrier closed that left Hawaiian the only one left THEY RAISED THERE PRICES. So Alaska is slowly gutting Hawaiian.
Alaska did it right and taking the bigger planes and moving somewhere else smart move by Alaska
@@christianhollingsworth4244 In 2003. LOL . . Try join the conversation present day!
Hawaii residents spend a lot more the 30% of their income on rent . Come on man
The plans for sell out to Alaska started long before it was made public. They started laying off the local people and 'downsizing' before the purchase was even announced. Behind the scenes the layoffs are ongoing and will continue through the rest of the year.
Big fish eats the small fish. Layoff always comes after a takeover. “Job completion notice”!? It sugar coated to sounds as if those being terminated needs to be congratulated.
And now it is called job completulion ? Disgusted !
SW airlines barely making it in Hawaii. They won’t last much longer now that Alaska merged with Hawaiian.

what japanese tourism wave? it looked like a puddle. Even vietnam beat hawaii as a japanese travel destination.
Dirty
Some of the worst customer service. Constantly late and cancelled flights with little to no compensation. Hopefully those people they let go were some of those responsible for the decline HA has been in for the last 5 years
Rating the quality of customer service is very personal. Often times, however, it is a simple matter of whether the customer feels as if they matter. I have flown on HA locally, to the Continent, and internationally. Prior to the takeover, I always felt that I mattered to HA. Were they perfect? No. Let me know when you find one. To the contrary, we just flew Alaska to the Continent with a non-Hawaii based crew. The care level was remarkably different. It felt as though they just wanted to get by, just enough to make it through the flight. Connection and relationships matter. HA had these qualities. That it maintains these qualities is my prayer for them.
HAL ground personnel morale and burnout before and during the pandemic resulted in some poor customer service experiences that I don't take personally. You gotta roll with it. The flight attendants appreciate it when you help other passengers with their luggage, it relieves them of some physical workload. Late, cancelled flights and missed connection are, I agree getting much more common. You always "roll the dice" when you travel.
More Biden-omics effects!
Hawaii a sellout of its own
