I spent my youth chasing Wisconsin Pheasant and roughed grouse, my young adulthood chasing Iowa Bobwhite quail and Pheasant, and my later years mostly in a blind shooting Ducks and Geese. The US really has a lot to provide hunters.

Hunting quail in the western US, it’s interesting to see the differences even within the country. So much regional variation is available, would love to see your comparison between this and hunting Mountain Quail for example. Then pheasants in the Dakotas and ducks in the Mississippi delta for even bigger contrasts. And why stop at birds, elk in Colorado vs pigs in Texas!

10 years ago I went to the River Bottom Plantation on a quail hunting trip down in South Georgia, good times and good food with old military buddies - your trip brought back a lot of the good memories. And, like everyone has said, the content y'all put up for this episode was awesome. It's cool watching the English guys experience the American South. George Hi will be thanking y'all for the business you're bound to bring them. Oh yeah, I hope they eventually found your luggage.

I hunted Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock in Minnesota, in the late '70's and early '80's, with a Franchi 28 Guage Automatic that weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. A Lightweight Gun can really help when one is walking in the woods for most of the day!

Absolutely brilliant video. Stunning!! As a fairly new hunter, I kind of find it somewhat calming/reassuring, that you, with your vast experience also can get nervous when finding yourself in a new hunting situation. I think that, even though you can always ask your fellow hunters, how things should be done ( or at least you always should be able to), there is always that thing in the back of your head asking if you are making an absolutely ass of yourself or not. There´s a fine line between asking for advice and being the annoying type, asking about absolutely everything all the time. Gaining experience can be a tricky thing. One thing is talking about the do´s and dont´s before a hunt, the other is doing things correctly while on the hunt, heartbeat raising and adrenaline rushing.
I guess that as long as you focus on safety, then everything will come with time. Thank you for yet another great production.

What a beautiful video. What an amazing place a true ambassador for presentation and outstanding beauty. What about those Longthorne guns?...Stunning!! No better match for gun and ground ever to be seen they go together like cloud and sky. The cinematography by the ever so talented Sash a credit to the team as a whole. Turn off the light play the vid and you could be there and almost smell the grass. Welldon to everyone involved including the chef, this has suddenly been put on my bucket list and the Jennifer Aniston date has been scrubbed. Good work guys!

I loved this video. I’ve been hunting quail nearly all my life and it’s second nature to me. I suppose I’ll be just as nervous on my first English driven hunt in a few months. I’ll also be in NC in a few weeks for the Southern SxS. This got my blood pumping. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my last two trips to the UK, to attend the Holt’s auction and to shoot pigeons. But I can’t wait to get home and burn some powder in NC. Well done, Jonny! Now that you’re hooked on quail, you’ll never look back.

As an English shooter, I never knew such a similar style of shooting birds existed in America.
My interpretation of American hunting is sitting in a hide with your pals, all camouflaged up with 10 gauge semi autos, waiting for geese & ducks to land on your decoys.
Love to see it, I hope to have a turn sometime.
