Sash has nailed it with the videography and editing with this film... 1000% THE best Country/Shooting video on youtube thus far! OUTSTANDING work guys! What a lucky man you are Jonny!
Jaw dropping from a videography perspective not to mention the quality of the information and the presenter is ok 🤣 in all seriousness the TGS videos that are coming out now are amazing not just for shooting based content but just generally on TH-cam it cannot be matched 👍🏼👏🏻 have a good Christmas everyone 👍🏼🎄
What an amazing adventure to experience with your friends. Thank you for sharing your hunt with us. THIS is what many of us Americans dream of when we think of game shooting in Scottland.
The quality I rarely comment on; probably because I'm more content concerned and it's always good, but I loved all of this. You guys did amazing, I absolutely loved this. Pretty woods, moreland, classic British weather, liked the .410, and liked the cooking.
So much fun to watch and appreciate you and your team filming the adventure! I love Scotland from two port calls with French warship and a Holliday! Thanks again for sharing this! God bless you Monsieur Jonny!
I live close to the Angus Glens, basically the start of the Cairngorms. Living here you take the shooting and scenery for granted. It’s only when I see both in videos like this that I can truly appreciate how lucky we are.
Fantastic video hats of to Sash for his filming prowess. The 28 bore is a great gun and i have used one for 15 years. This year I'm using TSS shot, I load my own shell in 6 gram of 10s which are loaded first with 14 gram of 9s on top with this combo you can shoot 45 yrds to 60yrd bird. You need to look it up, its the way forward, if we get a lead ban in the future Regards Alan Robinson
Loved the video. Beautiful country, beautiful birds. Glad to see Johnny didnt edit out the learning curve with the new gun. I like that he doesn't mind showing us the missed shots. Also nice to see a bit of the kitchen/food preparation. Now if you'd just get a dag...
You are a natural with that SxS in your hand! Somehow it makes you look taller as well! lol That video brought back memories of so many past hunts it was like an old Christmas movie! Cheers 🥂 🎄
Fantastic video! Well done team. As an Arizona quail hunter walked up birds (especially grouse) in Scotland is a dream of mine. The combination hunt you got looked like the best of both worlds.
By far your best work yet. Absolutely loved watching. I imported two Labs from Scotland more than 30 years ago to hunt American ducks and be my best buds. After seeing your shoot I feel guilty of depriving them of such a life there.
Where do I start? First, I am green with envy. The landscape and assortment of hunting styles was refreshing. Keep asking yourself those same questions as you go. By the time you are my age you will realize it was all in the journey. Forget your prejudices and just follow the path. Second, scaled frame shotguns are beautiful and artistic but my journey led me to .410/28's on 20 gauge frames. Third, Sach has become the master! This is by far my favorite episode to date. The Scottish countryside has a bit to do with it but the way he captured it along with the hunting/shooting aspect was exquisite! I really enjoyed the drone and other "B" roll footage! Sach needs a raise... Make it happen Jonny! Finally, A very Merry Christmas and Happy/Prosperous New Year to you both!
Beautiful opener, visually stunning and perfect music selection. Pacing and narration good. Loved the cooking segment, would like to see more game cooking. Exceptional b roll. Importantly, great balance of entertainment and advertising. Well done gents, I love this video. 5 stars on this project!
Over the last year I have fallen in love with the 28ga. For an O/U it’s a browning Citori and it’s a beauty. For waterfowl a Bennelli Ethos 28ga with 3” chambers for steel loads. My 16ga guns have been sold. My 20ga never left the safe. The .410 still has a play, but the 28ga is my new mistress.
Lovely video. Stunning scenery. I love Scotland. On a side note... How did you end up at the head of the table, surely that should of been allocated to a responsible adult! 😂
Awesome quality vid. good to see the cooking , rather than just killing (and missing). great to see the missing too- great to be honest unlike so many others.
Now that was just fantastic. ! Guys you just moved it up a big notch, the filming and your passion in this epic film 👏👏 What a fantastic shot you were on there, location so nice, with that lovely William Powell Phoenix was stunning !! What a great film . Merry Xmas & All the best for 2024
A great video thoroughly enjoyed it. Brought back many memories of my younger days out shooting. Nothing as grand as your day out but non the less your comments about that certain feeling that you can't get anywhere else, that being, a day out in the countryside with a group of like minded souls having a great time struck a chord with me. (Of course its better with a gun!) Keep up the good work!
The bird hunting world is envious of you on this magnificent adventure. Beautiful landscapes and beautiful guns. That 28ga Phoenix is a gorgeous. Sash, I know others have said it but it is worth saying again, fantastic job of videography and production. Also way to keep the camera going in the terrain. 👏👏👏
Super experience Jonny- just fantastic !! I bet if that 28 had 32" barrels, along with the 15.5" LOP- that would have been a better fit for you in this case. Awesome filming/editing- your quality of videos is over the top sir. Great job- and thanks for this. Will be watching over and over. Merry Christmas from Missouri, USA.
Amen to the non selective safety! Almost all single trigger double guns here in the states have selective safeties and I HATE them! I often shove the selector into the center when I'm trying to take the safety off, which jams the stupid thing.
Another great video johnny and like you i have fallen in love with the 28g , after my father passed away he left me a berreta 687 30" sporting not as flamborant as the powell but boy does it shoot well . maybe one day we will meet at gwysaney if my funds allow.
What a top quality video .Sash you nailed it it!! Johnny that’s the worst I’ve seen you shoot on them ducks🦆🤣. Fantastic watch what a place . One of the best videos you guys have produced Well done.👏
That 28 bore is gorgeous. I would get one but for the fact that there is little option for steel shot ammunition just yet. Hopefully the manufacturers will address that soon and in an affordable way!
What an awesome hunt! Quite different than here in the US. Particularly how you dress. All of you look so sharp and classy. Great tradition. And the food. 😋 Doesn't get any better than that.
I totally get what you're saying. But you have to pay the bills of keeping an estate like this going, and you don't get that from cheap days it's sorry to say.@@whatsMyNameAgainAgain
You've peaked! Well I hope you haven't, but this video is just the best. I saved it to savour in peace on New Year's Day and am so glad I did. I watched it twice. Superb. I have a question though: How/where do you source the accompanying music you use? So far you haven't used anything I didn't like. Well done and happy New Year.👍
What a great show, thank you. One question, it seems often times the muzzle rested on the ground while speaking..??.. Am I missing something or seeing things (since the full length wasn't often shown)? Thanks again!!!
Great video really enjoyed watching it, Those William Powell Guns look gorgeous, Did you win the tenner from sash ?, Merry Christmas to you both have a great 2024.
Come on Johnny you can stop now.....Only joking, role on 2024. I just hope that you and Sash and what ever team you have behind you can take us on some more wonderful adventures. Merry Christmas guys.

You beat me to it with this comment!
Guns, game, friends, landscape, booze. The perfect match. Thanks from France.

I love Scotland - the scenery - the people and their love of freedom - the history. Jeez, what else can I say!
I live close to the Angus Glens, basically the start of the Cairngorms. Living here you take the shooting and scenery for granted. It’s only when I see both in videos like this that I can truly appreciate how lucky we are.
This was absolutely brilliant. What a trip! Sash has done it once again with the filming and editing. Top notch.
Best video yet. Wish I was young enough to walk the hills. Keep up the good work. From NC, USA
Absolutely nailed it. The perfect day indeed. Loved the cooking aspect too. Congrats on another stellar little film 👌
I love these videos. They keep getting better and better…especially the video editing. I feel like I’m there.
That's gotta be the best video yet! Amazing landscape, excellent videography, and truly shows what shooting is all about!!

Nice to know that you’re human Jonny! You’re just down the road from my parents, it’s beautiful.
Fantastic video! Well done team. As an Arizona quail hunter walked up birds (especially grouse) in Scotland is a dream of mine. The combination hunt you got looked like the best of both worlds.

It's such a privilege to accompany you. But you could let us shoot once in a while...! Superb film. Bring us along again, especially to Scotland.
Thanks!
Thankyou ❤️
I experienced every emotion in the book watching this film but it’s left a lasting smile, thank you for sharing and a very Merry Christmas to you all

What a great time and great memories!
Scotland is beautiful. Lived there for 3 1/2 years.
Fair amount of carry on. Wasn’t sure if you were going to shoot it or root it.
William Powell... They have their guns made in Italy (can't remember by whom...). Interesting business model...
That round body looked pretty nice!
I love your shoot day films, you enjoy them so much and the uk is the best place on the planet for it merry Christmas to you and everyone else.

Cracking video 👍 what are the gloves Johnny is wearing?
Best video yet ! ! !
Amazing video, Curious as to where the hat is from?
Clay birds are predictable. Real birds are not. Don’t beat yourself up about the misses. Great video beautiful place.
I was wondering what camera and lens did you use for this trip.
So did you go home with the WP 28? BTW all of the UK is beautiful, at least the shooting areas you guys film. Thanks for that.
Brilliant video!! What would you say your favourite style/format of shooting is if you could only do one?
What are the chokes on the Powell?
Someone take this man on a real legit nasty swamp duck hunt or dry field Texas goose hunt
As the Jam song goes ''That's Entertainment''.
@TGSOutdoors what gloves have you got on?
Beretta Pro Mesh
Does anyone know what gloves Johnny is using?
