I’ve seen a few FS1Es go for £6k to £7k You were of course the age where you could have a 250 at 16 and a lot didn’t take their test of if they did it was shortcut to Reliant Supervan. I was caught out by 50cc limit at 16 and still being at school couldn’t afford a Fizzy and had to settle for a basic 30mph moped. Love your comments about respecting those on horses except hunters, my thoughts exactly
I do not respect hunters.....they make my blood boil! I went from riding a 50cc honda to TEACHING my mate to ride his Triumph Thunderbird combination - 650cc which you could also ride on a provisional licence !
The YB sounds good, and the roads around where you live are ideal for a rideout on a wee bike. Thanks again for a good wee video, I have now run in the Honda 500 hornet, All the Best.

YB seems to be coming along well. Sounds lovely. Great route, cracking scenery. Audio was great, listening to you chuntering away was far more enjoyable than some of the music you have subjected us to. Well done.
Watched again all the way through and took the wife along for that nice tour. She loved it. I followed along the route you took on Google satellite view and manage to keep up in several spots. The audio was good and the YB was obviously running well. On running in the YB, since you’re just breaking in the piston and rings to the new cylinder bore it’s ready to go after just a tank full of fuel. Initial running in on a new bike takes longer, especially on a four stroke, but your bike already has thousands of miles on the transmission so it’s ready to go full out.
Nice one Sir. I see at the end there that your audio arrangements were 'hard wired' 'twixt camera and mic. It works, success. Maybe next time you can show us the mic itself and where it is lodged. Kind regards.

Thanks for posting the video Rob. The YB is sounding very sweet and hopefully the audio problems are now behind you (so to speak). I know the YB doesn't have the dash of your XSR125 but you can't help but love the little spirited YB (I still have mine as well as a bigger Honda😊). Talking of your Yamaha 80, the first bike I bought in the late 60s was a Yamaha YL1 after seeing my mate's YG1. Loved the YL1 and these now go for stupid money of course. Nice to see you out on the YB again, Rob. 👍 Interesting to hear that you had an Imp, back in the day; I had the van version, bought new, and it was, without doubt, the worst car that I've ever owned. There was all sorts of things wrong with it, but the final straw was being stranded an hour away from home when the ring-gear dropping off the flywheel (replaced under warranty). I got rid of it immediately afterwards.

Yes, once warm, they were quite pokey; in FWMV form in the period 1958-65 Climax-powered cars won 40 Formula 1 GP's out of 75 races. In the1963 season, Jim Clark won 7 F1 GP's in the FWMV-powered Lotus 25 to take the World Championship. In 1965, using the same Coventry Climax unit, he scored 6 wins to again take the title.
I had a YG1 80cc for back and fore to work in mid '70s. Then a Suzuki GT250 also, but mine was fine! Audio is sounding a lot better - no need for subtitles.
Well we both had the same bikes then - should never have got rid of the 80 but drawn to the 250 - issues with carbs out of balance and punctures peed me off! Got rid of it and that was it for me for 20 years - no bikes!

Perfect roads for running in a two stroke with plenty of variation in rev's. Nothing worse than a constant speed to not bed new rings in properly to the bore. Like you I'm also a back road rider these days whether on my 1300 Beemer or RS125 Aprilia 2 stroke. 'A' roads around here are just crap on a motorcycle, you are either overtaking all the time or stuck in a 45mph train of cars/vans/HGV's. Fortunately Suffolk has a massive network of back lanes similar to the Cotswolds so I can pretty much get anywhere without more than a mile or two on busy roads. Glad I'm not the only one who also prefers to stop now at Give Ways! My head just doesn't turn around as well or as far as when I was 17!

Greatest of respect you may be right but then we have many horses in this area and the riders need to have them learn how to be on a road. Not as if I was revving the engine - I was not as close as you think as I zoomed in.
Hi! i did plan to buy a xsr 125 yamaha but instead bought a Bluroc Tracker. It looks great and is 15hp and only 110kg dry. It is a Belgium design and is made in china. I know your not into the chinese side of things but it should be on the better side for things made in china. And since i'm from Belgium i just wanted to take chance on this Belgium design. I should have it within two weeks. I'm 49 years old and didn't ride a bike since i was 17 year old. So ,i'm excited.
Rob, safest thing for a motorcyclist is to switch off the engine when a horse is coming towards you on a narrow lane. If horses don't respect Royalty us lowly motorcyclists have no chance 🤣
I hear you but.....if I stop my engine it means I have to leap off the little bike and run along the road to get it started again....ok I exaggerate !!
@@RobLittleuk I had a Suzuki A100 at one time, that was kick start only but it would start by putting it in gear push it along side me for a couple of steps then engage the clutch and release the clutch as the engine started. But now I like electric starters, and heated grips 👍👍

I and a few mates had them - cylinder head issues chucking water out of overflow. Sad really because the engine was quite pokey!

I'm not against CHinese bikes - the Tracker is a great looking little bike !

Couple of concrete blocks in the front and a can in the back to collect the water from overflow
