Bernals attack on the col de l'iseran...
They were all amazing, at very least remarkable! As about least favourite, now it seems that course shortening stripped Bernal of much like potential polka dot jersey.
Honestly I can’t choose, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every stage on its own.
JA gaining the jersey losing it and then tenaciously regaining it, followed by his beastly ITT and heroic defenses when it seemed he should break.
Not to miss on Bernal’s capture of the tour with confidence.
It’s was the Tour for the fans!
Watching Alaphilippe flex on the first mountain stage after killing the TT. Dude rode with HEART.
Alaphilippe rocketing up the ramp at the end of the time trial with the crowd hanging over the barriers going mental.
Probably one of the best podiums ever! These three riders have soo much respect for each other, no drama just very professionals ! congrats!

This years tour was fantastic. It was so exciting to watch Alaphilippe give France such an amazing run at the yellow jersey, especially with his attacking riding style. I couldn't help but root for him.
This year's tour was perfect for Bernal. If the Tour reduces the amount climbing and brings back more individual time trials, then I wouldn't expect Bernal to repeat unless he can really dominate in the mountains. If Thomas had beaten Alaphilippe in the Time trial, he would've been the team leader and Bernal would've ridden for him. Between the time trial and the weather in the Alps, so many things out of Thomas' control swung the race in Bernal's favor. If Bernal comes in as the favorite to a future Tour, he'll have to do a better job in the time trials if he hopes to win, again, especially if the course isn't as favorable to his skills as this one.
Maybe the Tour will change to a course with fewer long climbs and more punchier stages to favor Alaphilippe and give him a better chance at winning.
Definitely one of my favorite tour memories will be Peter Sagan photobombing mid ride during the champagne toast! So funny! Congrats on the record 7 points jerseys too, should be 8, but that's another story! ;)

What a great Tour de France it was! Yet there was little surprises because (most of) the top contenders delivered on expectations. Team Ineos won again, Sagan took his 7th Green jersey, Bardet (not Pinot or Alaphillipe) took the KOM jersey. And Caleb Ewan scored a hat trick for his 1st participation. Bravo!

One of the most memorable TDF’s this decade, it was right up there with Froomey running up Mont Ventoux couple of years ago lol...
Can’t wait for TDF 2020 to see Bernal and MVDP face off one another (assuming they won’t be in the same team), then throw Froome, Dumoulin and Roglic back into the mix as well for one helluva fireworks show!
Mathieu is going for the Olympic MTB race. That means that he needs to build up muscles in his upper body, and that makes him too heavy to compete for yellow in the TDF. So logics say that he will not compete in the 2020 TDF.
And Mathieu will not switch to Ineos, he has his own team build around him.

Because he's too heavy to keep pace up mountains. If he was as light as Geraint Thomas (they're about the same height) then he wouldn't have the power to win sprints. There's also a difference in aerobic vs anaerobic power: Sagan delivers peak power for max 1 minute, not a 20 minute climb.

It was the best TDF in years! Once again, however, Team Ineos/Sky has two on the podium, and Columbia has 3 riders in the top ten. Their top four riders would beat the top four in any nation this year. There should be a royal blue Jersey, however, for Geraint Thomas for being the most loyal teammate and a class act to boot! The curse of Bernie Hinault lives on!
The name of the country is spelled COLOMBIA not COLUMBIA in both English and Spanish!

Thanks for the great coverage of the Tour de France this year, but someone needs to tell Mr Bernal to change those sunglasses.
I was struck by a poster of Bernal in the Maillot Jaune on the bathroom door of my favorite bicycle shop. I now use it as the wallpaper on my phone.
Man there's something wrong with cycling when moviestar gets 3 riders in the top 10 and ineos wins the race with 1st and second WITHOUT Chris Froome... I can already picture next year's tour. Froome racing his own teamates , defending champion Egan Bernal , and the previous year's defending champion, Geraint thomas...
They have by far the largest budget, and have always been buying potential Tour winners to play domestique in their team and cancel rivalry. Ineos € 47 million (£40m) each year (Sky €39m last year); Deceuninck-Quickstep € 18m ; Jumbo-Visma € 16m gained the most prize money in this Tour.
I think next year will be the last with Froome as Ineos leader and after that he is gonna retire, at least from the Tour

I guess it’s a difference in mentality in some way. Ewan ran it through all the way to the end, Groenewegen stopped racing before the line.

I reckon there should be more weight given to wins in the different jersey competitions. Caleb Ewan gets 3 wins and some very close other races and comes 2nd by a long shot.....strange in my opinion. Congrats to all though. These are men of steel! Man I love the TDF.

I love Colombian and its people. Have been on a long holiday of 3 months there and loved it and I would cheer Bernal no doubt if he wasn`t competing for the wrong team. This year Tour was great until it turned into a damp squib with those stages at the end. We will never know what the story would have been had the circumstances been different, non the less, kind of ok

Why was GC "over" before this last stage? Couldnt other guys attack and get a lead over Bernal?
It's traditional not to attack the yellow jersey on the last stage.
It’s the “unwritten rule”
Also even if they tried it would’ve been impossible for a gc contender to make up that much time on such a flat stage because the sprinters teams won’t allow it.
