If you want to try something to improve clarity and impulse alignment, try to go to the rear speaker and delay them 1ms under "Time Correction" since you have the option. Because the rollbar speakers are so close to your head, delaying them so they're more in time alignment with the fronts will make kick and snare hits less muddy.
@@toddhoffmaster6057 I'm glad you found it helpful! Since I wrote that, I've increased the delay on the rear speakers to 4 ms and it's even better. Play with it to find the sweet spot for you
@@jhlarrimore I set my stereo to 3ms and it made a nice improvement. I still need to install an amp to get the full potential out of my speakers. I replaced all 4 speakers and added tweeters with Hertz brand and they do sound much better than stock.
I have an Atoto A6 from circa 2017 in my TJ. front cam, rear cam and all the bells. Added kicker speakers and an Alpine sub under the drivers seat. Great setup but I want android auto so I'll probably upgrade to this head unit. That is one clean LJ you gut there!
I just installed an Atoto S8 Standard 2024 into my 2005 TJ Jeep Rubicon. I actually used the same Metra and solder connectors. Mine had an aftermarket Pioneer head unit which was nice because the factory adapter was already there, the issue was that they had placed an Alpine amp installed behind it. Luckily It was all good I just had to wire it while still in the Jeep because two of the wires where hardwired to the amp. I also want to add the reverse camera and wonder how to make it automatic since I also have the 6 speed manual transmission. Nice video.
The system looks pretty good. I personally put Kicker speakers in my LJ and had a shop build some custom boxes close to the B-pillar area with some 6in speakers. Out of the way and sounds better than stock. I think Kicker makes a replacement sub if you want to keep it in the stock location.
Timely video as I am looking to install an Atoto into my 03 TJ. Have you had any issues with parasitic draw on your battery that seems to plague Atoto models? Seems hit or miss, but since you are in another TJ it should be a close match to mine (electrically speaking).

Thank you for that bit of information. It really helped out in my Jeep, as the roller speakers were always drowning out the front speakers.
