Any thoughts on how the Outposts would work on a Rivian R1S? Ride quality, highway tracking, snow performance?

I absolutely love my 2004 GX 470. 248,000 miles on the odometer and it keeps running perfectly. 🙂

Picked mine up with 174k miles on it.

Might I suggest that when you review tires for a Jeep, you actually drive on something other than solely asphalt?

what was the only real change between the AT and nAT is that the AT had just begun production, a brand new tire in the Nokian lineup, manufactured in Russia. when the imperialist commies invaded Ukraine, Nokian shut down the factory. it took them 2 years (fast when you think of it) to build a factory in Tennessee and re-release the tire. i'm guessing they lost all their molds and equipment to the commies (though i don't know this as fact) as many companies lost all assets (had them stolen by the oligarchs). who knows how much money Nokian lost in this debacle, but i do know that they are more popular than ever where i live and the brand is growing and this tire is a big success so far with strong demand.

I've been looking at these and I'm impressed by everything from the tread pattern to the lighter weight than the competition

Yeah I’ve been running the Nokian Rotiiva in Alberta through all weather and off road and have been super happy. So will be getting the Outposts as well when I need to replace them.

Congrats! Still driving my 06 LJ Rubi I bought way back in 2008. Has a 4" lift and 33s. So cool to see how they just keep increasing in popularity and value every year. Its been my daily driver for 16 years and I could sell it for what I paid for it. Amazing

I have done the Overland/rock crawler combo build.

I want those wheels for my LJ. They are harder to find - 16". I have the 15" wheels on right now. All vehicles in the northeast will rust, just watch South Main Auto.

Just watched this video. It caught my eye because I have an '04 LJ and I am also from the Clemson area. Go Tigers! I am really interested into seeing what all had to be done to make the real drop down tailgate work for you. That white LJR looks beautiful. Word of advice - keep it pristine and stock. If you want an off road LJ then buy one that has already had mods done to it. I wish that I would have done that and I have only owned mine for a year now. I have put more money into it than what I paid for it. Subscribed..

Wood grain on your steering wheel is nice because it doesn't wear out and look like trash like leather and nylon steering wheels always do after about 100,000 miles.

I was torn between 4runner and GX470. For months and months I went back and forth. Then 100 Series showed up, I bought that.

That's awesome. I wish I could do that on my 460. The factory rails are more flush mount so the rails would contact the roof. :(

Great video and great looking Jeep. Got one myself and the hardtop hoist options I've tested out seem to always end up to the manual ones, just faster and less stuff hanging when not in use. That said, the rear of your hardtop where you have your straps attached, you'd be better off running a 2x4 across the back with hooks that straps attach to or just two straps connected together but going through the bottom of the rear. Why you ask? Because depending on how long your hardtop is hanging it will spread a bit. The top weight will push down and the straps just holding the sides will start moving left and right, spreading the sides. Just a tip. Great video. ❤

My wife and I just took a 2-month car camping road trip with our stock 2008 Lexus GX470 to Canada and Alaska for the total of 19,000 miles. We went from Chicago to Maine then took a 3 1/2-hours ferry to Nova Scotia and another 7 hours ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland and from Newfoundland we went on another ferry to Labrador. From Labrador we went to Quebec and from Quebec we drove all the way to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. From Alaska we also went on Dempster Highway to Tuktoyaktuk, NT, Canda.

Dude, never put your doors on the concrete like that. Either Hingham or get a pool noodle and put it underneath them.

I soon plan on considering 4Runner, GX470, and FJ Cruiser. I'm stuck between the 3. I hope this helps. I've been leaning towards an FJ for now though.

I just installed an Atoto S8 Standard 2024 into my 2005 TJ Jeep Rubicon. I actually used the same Metra and solder connectors. Mine had an aftermarket Pioneer head unit which was nice because the factory adapter was already there, the issue was that they had placed an Alpine amp installed behind it. Luckily It was all good I just had to wire it while still in the Jeep because two of the wires where hardwired to the amp. I also want to add the reverse camera and wonder how to make it automatic since I also have the 6 speed manual transmission. Nice video.

i havent driven one. People who have one and also have a Sequoia say the Sequoia seats are far superior to the 470/460 seats when it comes to comfort. Does anyone else agree with that?

The V8 and Trans are a 500K+ miles with regular maintenance. Many say up to 1mil miles. Bulletproof! Just make sure you religiously change the timing belt and water pump at 90K increments. And there are sooooooo many accessories and replacement parts. Both Lexus and third party. It is a cult classic. I got my 2004 4 years ago and have done a lot to it slowly. Including a really great 10in head unit that has been just about perfect and gives it a modern feel. was great when I got in and only paid $7000. Prices have gone up but it you are willing to put some time into them you can likely find a nice one with about 200K or less for less than $10K. Mine now has 235K miles. I have a couple of videos from two years ago I posted for myself as a time capsule and feel free to have a look. Like new and drives amazing! Cheers!

Perfect. I need crossbars that don’t sit proud of the rack rails like the stock crossbars do. Now I’ll be able to get under my low ceiling underground carport with out having to slide my stock cross bars all the way back. I’m going to use your link to place my order.

I have a 100 series land cruiser, i think this Gx shares the steering wheel lower vent as well. That thing is a joy.
