Mancera Lemon is one of my favorite citrus aromatic fragrances and I like the idea that The Impudent Cousin Matthew is sweet and tart at the same time and how it is simple and has all the notes I like! My favorite citrus aromatic and my favorite barbershop fougere style is Giorgio Armani Eau pour Homme vintage (new is tamed but I still own and use it). I smelled from Penhaligons Bayolea, Quercus and Sartorial which I liked in the order I mentioned them, the Impudent Cousin Matthew seems right up my alley especially if the Mandarine is the same as in the Armani Eau pour Homme. Sebastian, great review of Penhaligon's The Impudent Cousin Matthew. I haven't tried anything from this fragrance house, but I have heard of them and watched the videos about them on your channel. My favorite citrus/aromatic fragrance is ADG Profumo. I like the simplicity of the note breakdown, but at the same time it still has that complexity. It sounds amazing with the sweet/fresh citrus in the opening transitioning to the deep dark vetiver. I really enjoy the design of the bottles for the Penhaligon's Fragrance house. I am a subscriber from the USA.

And at the age of 45 lol I’ve never heard of Penhaligon’s however recently took a scent test and learned I love Aromatics so now I’m intrigued. As you can see I’m still learning lol. I was looking to add some citrus to my collection this summer. D&G light blue intense and Chance Eau Fraiche for some good starters I’m looking at in a good starting price range. My current favourite citrus scent is Mancera Sicily, another one would be Atelier cologne california clementine but if Atelier can make it last longer it would go number one. I tried several sample of the Penhaligon house but didn’t pull trigger for any full bottle yet because they smell a bit too complex for me but definitely want to check this one out because it sound like it gonna be a mass appeal fragrance. Thanks for the video insight. My favorite citrus is no longer available. It's Guerlain Homme L'eau. I tried it in France about 6 years ago & fell in love with it! I'm intrigued by this Penhaligon fragrance because of the citrus notes.
Penhaligon's has one of the best bottles not only aesthetically, but the shape of the bottles fit rather perfectly in the hand for a good grip when spraying.
Love Penhaligons and have several but my favorite is Sartorial. Just a magical blend. This one is obviously suited for warmer weather. Love a good citrus and this is no doubt extremely high quality. Very intriguing by this exclusive line. Great review as always. 👍🏻
My favorite citrus aromatic fragrance is le frenchy from Guerlain. The whole portrait line from Penhaligon’s is nice and underrated I think, I own Sohan and Beauregard, both are beautiful. My favourite citrus aromatic scents are mostly the ones produced by Guerlain, namely Eau de fleurs de cedrat, EDC Imperiale and especially Eau de Guerlain and Cologne du 68. I like a couple Penhaligon's fragrances (LP No.9 is very good), and The Impudent Cousin Matthew sounds like an interesting mix of sparkling mandarin top and deep patchouli heart. Thanks for the draw. The Impudent Cousin Matthew i'm not familiar with , but i like the way you described it - bitter , citrusy and woody with patchouli . I have smelled not all , but most Penhaligon's fragrances , and to me Tragedy of Lord George is 2nd best they got. To me Roaring Radcliff is by far the best one.At the bottom of my bottle ~5ml left. Most definitely i will rebuy it soon. Compliment monster .Sartorial is a fragrance i really like too , BUT unfortunately performance on my skin is not good at all. My favorite citrus is Hermes Citron noir. What I liked about the reviewed perfume is that it is simple yet smells complex. I like challenging scents but they are not always wearable in gatherings without being an inconvenience. I am in UK.

Another great video Sebastian! I always think Atelier Cologne when "citrus" fragrances are mentioned. However I think my favourite citrus aromatic is Mandarino Di Amalfi by Tom Ford. That basil note absolutely makes it for me, borders on making it a herbal fragrance, love it!! Clearly I love mandarin - which is what intrigued me most about the Impudent Cousin Matthew (that, and my name is also Matthew ;)). Patchouli is a note I love but I'm really interested to see (smell?) if I can isolate the petit grain - I know there is a relationship between that and orange blossom but my nose isn't sophisticated enough yet to be able to smell the difference! Favorite fruity aromatic is Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic and I like the notes in this fragrance and I have read about this fragrance and love the story behind it. Matthew is "impudent" his sister is the real impudent one and the notes reflect it. I live in the USA.

I have to say I really like Penhaligon's . Of course I can't enjoy all , but The Tragedy of Lord George , Sartorial and Monsieur Beauregard are all precious parts of my 78 bottles collection. I have to admit I sold my bottle of Halfeti. Went through 3 bottle during the years , but I can't wear it anymore. It was my ex wife favorite smell on me , but after we split every time I've spayed it I was thinking of her. Fragrances could carry a lot of memories you know. The Impudent Cousin Matthew should be brand new. Last time I've checked if they got something new it was not available. Mandarin , petitgrain and patchouli - simplistic composition , but done the right way. Slightly sweet and tart from the start , and woody and bitter in the drydown with quality patchouli. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Sebastian. I was in my favorite Parfumerie and smelled this. I had Frederic Malle`s Geranium pour Monsieur and Bigarade Concentree and the impudent Cousin Matthew in my selection today. And it was so good that I had to buy Matthew over those two. I`m normally not a fan of soapy clean fragrances. But this is just beatiful.
This one has been on my radar for a few months. I have never tried anything from Penhaligon's as of yet, because they have such a large selection its hard to choose. I love the 60's vibe and the patchouli. This is also what excited me about Cousin Matthew - the patchouli element! I just LOVE trying anything patchouli. I smelled from Penhaligons Bayolea, Quercus and Sartorial which I liked in the order I mentioned them, the Impudent Cousin Matthew seems right up my alley especially if the Mandarine is the same as in the Armani Eau pour Homme. Sebastian, great review of Penhaligon's The Impudent Cousin Matthew. I haven't tried anything from this fragrance house, but I have heard of them and watched the videos about them on your channel. My favorite citrus/aromatic fragrance is ADG Profumo. I like the simplicity of the note breakdown, but at the same time it still has that complexity. It sounds amazing with the sweet/fresh citrus in the opening transitioning to the deep dark vetiver. I really enjoy the design of the bottles for the Penhaligon's Fragrance house. And at the age of 45 lol I’ve never heard of Penhaligon’s however recently took a scent test and learned I love Aromatics so now I’m intrigued. As you can see I’m still learning lol. I was looking to add some citrus to my collection this summer. D&G light blue intense and Chance Eau Fraiche for some good starters I’m looking at in a good starting price range. Im not sure, if they qualify as Citrus Aromatic, but I've been wearing L´Homme Ideal Colone by Guerlain and Un Jardin en Mediterranee by Hermés lately and they both are very citrusy. I also love Eau de Guerlain.

I'm a HUGE Penhaligons fangirl. I love the Portraits line and own The Duke, Radcliff, Yasmine, Clara, Constance and Beauregard. My favorite citrus aromatics also happen to be from this house as well- Blenheim Bouquet and Lothair. I'm very interested in Cousin Matthew and his counter point Flora. My current favourite citrus scent is Mancera Sicily, another one would be Atelier cologne california clementine but if Atelier can make it last longer it would go number one.
I tried several sample of the Penhaligon house but didn’t pull trigger for any full bottle yet because they smell a bit too complex for me but definitely want to check this one out because it sound like it gonna be a mass appeal fragrance. I found the way they name their fragrance is really interesting and love their bottle design as well.

Penhaligon's has one of the best bottles not only aesthetically, but the shape of the bottles fit rather perfectly in the hand for a good grip when spraying.
Love Penhaligons and have several but my favorite is Sartorial. Just a magical blend. This one is obviously suited for warmer weather. Love a good citrus and this is no doubt extremely high quality. Very intriguing by this exclusive line. Great review as always. 👍🏻

My favorite citrus aromatic fragrance is le frenchy from Guerlain. The whole portrait line from Penhaligon’s is nice and underrated I think, I own Sohan and Beauregard, both are beautiful. I’m from France, nice review, glad to see someone reviewing penhaligon’s (I saw your top 15 fragrances and I was surprised there was no portrait in it) cheers
My favourite citrus aromatic scents are mostly the ones produced by Guerlain, namely Eau de fleurs de cedrat, EDC Imperiale and especially Eau de Guerlain and Cologne du 68. I like a couple Penhaligon's fragrances (LP No.9 is very good), and The Impudent Cousin Matthew sounds like an interesting mix of sparkling mandarin top and deep patchouli heart. Thanks for the draw. I have smelled not all , but most Penhaligon's fragrances , and to me Tragedy of Lord George is 2nd best they got. To me Roaring Radcliff is by far the best one.At the bottom of my bottle ~5ml left. Most definitely i will rebuy it soon. Compliment monster .Sartorial is a fragrance i really like too , BUT unfortunately performance on my skin is not good at all.

Another great video Sebastian! I always think Atelier Cologne when "citrus" fragrances are mentioned. However I think my favourite citrus aromatic is Mandarino Di Amalfi by Tom Ford. That basil note absolutely makes it for me, borders on making it a herbal fragrance, love it!! Clearly I love mandarin - which is what intrigued me most about the Impudent Cousin Matthew (that, and my name is also Matthew ;)). Patchouli is a note I love but I'm really interested to see (smell?) if I can isolate the petit grain - I know there is a relationship between that and orange blossom but my nose isn't sophisticated enough yet to be able to smell the difference! Favorite fruity aromatic is Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic and I like the notes in this fragrance and I have read about this fragrance and love the story behind it. Matthew is "impudent" his sister is the real impudent one and the notes reflect it. I live in the USA.

I have to say I really like Penhaligon's . Of course I can't enjoy all , but The Tragedy of Lord George , Sartorial and Monsieur Beauregard are all precious parts of my 78 bottles collection.
I have to admit I sold my bottle of Halfeti. Went through 3 bottle during the years , but I can't wear it anymore. It was my ex wife favorite smell on me , but after we split every time I've spayed it I was thinking of her. Fragrances could carry a lot of memories you know.
The Impudent Cousin Matthew should be brand new. Last time I've checked if they got something new it was not available.
Mandarin , petitgrain and patchouli - simplistic composition , but done the right way. Slightly sweet and tart from the start , and woody and bitter in the drydown with quality patchouli. Pretty good.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention Sebastian. I was in my favorite Parfumerie and smelled this. I had Frederic Malle`s Geranium pour Monsieur and Bigarade Concentree and the impudent Cousin Matthew in my selection today. And it was so good that I had to buy Matthew over those two. I`m normally not a fan of soapy clean fragrances. But this is just beatiful.
This one has been on my radar for a few months. I have never tried anything from Penhaligon's as of yet, because they have such a large selection its hard to choose. I love the 60's vibe and the patchouli. This is also what excited me about Cousin Matthew - the patchouli element! I just LOVE trying anything patchouli.
