What are the odds, I've been reading up on this for the last couple of days and lamenting the fact that none of me "reputable" reviewers have spoken about it. (re. Castile) And just like that, here you are! 😮 This will be good! (settling in with a glass of bourbon and headphones on)
I love Castile really do. It's perfect not challenging easy to wear summer soapy freshie. The Orange Blossom is more challenging because of the floral notes. Not to say it's bad it's great but has a lot more depth and things going on with it! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy If Sebastian ever got into wet shaving and experienced all the great artisan aftershave/colognes as well as the offerings from old English houses like Geo F. Trumpers, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Czech & Speake, Castle Forbes and D.R. Harris, he would need to allocate half of one his rooms to a new walk-in closet. That's not including some excellent bay rums from Royall, St, Johns, Ogalalla and others.
I used to work for Penhaligon’s and since I left I’ve paid full price for Castile twice and have never owned orange blossom because it’s not as great in my opinion. I agree with most of your analysis!
Love your description of Castile. I am always looking for a soapy, clean scent. My favorite is Philosphy's Pure Grace but it has no staying power. I'd like to find something similar that has more longevity. I think Castile just might do the trick!
I don’t own any Penhaligon. I think they both sounds beautiful but the clean soapy first fragrance sounds great for me living in a hot climate. How is The silage? Longevity? Projection? Love the sound of the peach in the second orange blossom fragrance. My skin eats fragrance so I might go for the orange blossom. I watch every one of your videos!
Great video! Castile is my most reach perfume in summer high heat days. Reminds me a lot to AdP Colonia but with better performance. My other favourite is Bond nº9 Eau de New York, just in between TF Neroli Portofino and AdP Essenza, with a veeery good performance. Orange Blossom, I have to sample it definitely
@@Sambuccashake After Bond and TF because of the quality. Castile for me is better than AdP in quality and performance (Essenza Is other case), is my after the shower scent early morning, an uplifting scent ready to go ☺👍
@@Sambuccashake yes, I bought bond because the reviews and a very good discount. Is a mix between TF NP and AdP Essenza, good performance and surprisingly smell very natural for me. My other alternative was FM Cologne Indelebile, that one is closer to TF NP and better performance, I liked it even more
I want BOTH of these now! I am looking on ebay and found a pretty good deal for 3.4 Castile. I am glad I saw this bc they are calling this a men only fragrance. I like unisex and it seems that all the soapy clean good frags are either for men or if lucky are unisex.
Great review as always Sebastian! I might be able to pull of the Castile, but I have a really tough time with tuberose. I'm sure you've already tried it, but since you like orange blossom, give Parfums de Marly Galloway a try! It's citrus in the top, but the orange blossom comes out in the mids and the base! Really nice for the summer and lasts a long time!
I found Castile to lean too close to L'occitane Amiable. Thus too sugary sweet of an orange note. I wanted something a bit rounder or bitter. I think orange blossom may be what I'm looking for since I'm a fan of florals.
I get no tuberose?? On first spray I get alot of pink pepper and cardamom, then I live for the dry down, it's so beautiful.. I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it. Just wish it had more lasting power.
Have not tried either but the Duchaufour creation would probably be my pick.... my top Neroli at the moment are Nicolaï Cap Néroli and Néroli Intense and L’Artisan Seville a l’Aube (more Duchaufour!)
Duchaufour is the king for sure! I love his creations. I even have a Top 10 Bertrand Duchaufour fragrances video here: th-cam.com/video/VVFQ7Ghyr7Q/w-d-xo.html
I have it. It is absolutely beautiful. Spicy, warm and milky yet still fresh and clear. I find it quite a complex fragrance and it is one of my favourites.
I really like Penhaligon’s. It’s a great house. I prefer Castille out of those 2, but I would better choose Endymion, Opus and Juniper Sling. This Last one is Great. Nice vídeo. Thanks.

Castille is a classic, beautiful 'cologne' type scent that is so refreshing scent.

I have both. Philisophy Pure Grace lasts well on me. Castile is my favourite though. Beautiful fragrance.

Love both of them. Castille lasts longer. Been using this house for over 20 years
I have been going back and forth on purchasing Orange Blossom, thank you for the review!
You're welcome! :)
It's gorgeous. 😍😍😍
I have both and much prefer Castile, I love that soapy accord it has, so refreshing and clean
Ines Witherspoon is orange blossom more anatolitic?
Thanks for the video. Castile first smell like an old French cologne but the floral came later. Orange Blossom a bit more better in cool weather.

I like TF but it's really light and performance is lacking.

Ugh! I’m so sad the Penhaligon’s store is closed in SF! I’d have to rush over tomorrow and try them! 😫
How dare you make me choose! Now I know what my mother felt like when I was a wee lad asking her who she loved more, me or my little brother 😂
LOL! Too funny! 😝
I smelt the Orange Blossom in store yesterday by chance and found it incredible 👌🏼
Quite beautiful
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna try these fragrances and have a blessed day
I love tuberose. Don't think I've smelled it mixed with orange blossom. Sounds intriguing. Bertrand! Thanks for the review, Sebastian!

They both sound great! Castile sounds the best to me.
You will certainly love Castile for sure! :)
Would Castile perform well in an AC office setting? Great review video!
Haven’t explored this House yet. Hope to soon. Castile sounds nice. ✌🏻
Which do you prefer out of Castille and Cousin Matthew? Are they similar to each other?
Have not tried either but the Duchaufour creation would probably be my pick.... my top Neroli at the moment are Nicolaï Cap Néroli and Néroli Intense and L’Artisan Seville a l’Aube (more Duchaufour!)

Love the combination of oranges 🍊 and Tuba rose
The 2 on this video , or The Impudent Cousin Matthew? The “Cousin” is such a happy fragrance
in not on
I didn’t know that’s how they pronounced “Castile”, in the shop in Cambridge they always call it “cast-eel”…
Oh and another thing, how do you compare Castile with Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza? I guess it's lighter and more citrusy?
I need to do a side by side as I haven't but they are from the same family. I will have to try though! :)
@@ThePerfumeGuy Please do!
Castile Oliver Cresp
Must have I guess .... but I am attracted to the complex one ☝️
Love 4711, but I would love to try the OB by duchaufor
I wonder if Castile would be good to trade Prada l’homme in the office for the summer ?
Of course it would!! :)
Woooow love ❤️ orange 🍊 fragrances
I wear fleur d’oronger from serg lutan

Great review, I picked up Castile a couple of weeks ago for £69 in the Penhaligon’s sale. I really enjoy it, one of my favourite soapy fragrances.
Love your reviews so much
Thumbs up 👍
