What about auto gearbox level ?
hello is this peugeot with electric power stearing and if yes what fluid do you use. My friend got 307 2.0hdi and the fluid that it has is dark brown and quite dense, but i've heard that it has to be pinkish redish and thin, does it have to be (Total Fuide DA), he topped it up like 150 grams with (Hydraulic Oil SWAG) is it wrong and do we need to change the whole fluid with the total one.
I haven't worked with an EPS system so I can't help you, sorry.
Should the antifreeze (coolant) be mixed with distilled water or is it ready for usage right out from the bottle?
It depends on which one you buy. This one was already pre-mixed
I’ll download this 🫠 thank you 😀
What kind of power steering fluid should I use on my 307?
The manual recommends Total Fluide LDS Power steering flluid or equivolent
Hi everyone, I just bought Peugeot 307 cc, and it’s actually my first car, so my question is, the break fluid, steering fluid, engine coolant, and the engine oil, do they all have different oil, or I can just buy an engine oil and use it on them all??
They are all very different :)
The video was very helpful, B-U-T it does not show h-o-w to fill the power steering reservoir with fluid ! The reservoir appears to be set way down in the engine compartment, & not easily accessible. I am not a mechanic & don't have all the necessary items at hand to do certain jobs, & like to keep an eye on fluid levels inbetween services, so would like to know how to transfer the fluid from it's container, into the reservoir ???
You just need a cheap flexible funnel like this: www.screwfix.ie/p/maypole-funnel-flexible-pipe-145mm-x-370mm/332fy
Is there any water, liquid or coolant for the air conditioner on this car? My AC is not getting cool anymore. Fan is running fine though and heat is working. Just not cooling on hot summer days. Any advice?
If your car has A/C then it must be low on coolant. There could be a coolant leak somewhere in the system so you'll need to have it checked out at a garage or a place like this: autoaircon.ie/desktop/index.html#service
@@screwsnutsandbolts Thanks for the reply. So the engine coolant is connected with the A/C then?
There is water in the coolant container so that’s strange. But I’ll have it checked out. Thanks again.
@@davidjensen6742 No the A/C system is a completely separate unit from the engine and has to be filled using pressurized coolant through special valves. The engine radiator coolant is a different thing altogether
@@screwsnutsandbolts Understood. Thanks a lot. 👍
Why didn't you check the gearbox oil ?
Hi my Peugeot 207 says check oil level when turning it on but it’s full just been done any suggestions please?
It could just be a faulty oil level sensor. My 307 and Berlingo had the same issue. Sometimes it reads full, sometimes it reads low. As long as the dipstick shows the correct level it should be ok. However, if the oil pressure warning light shows up on the dash you'll need to have that checked out immediately.
Any advise on how to unscrew the power fluid cap? It's kinda stuck
You could probably do with something like this: www.ebay.ie/itm/264828847522?
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks

No idea how to remove the big plastic cover over steering fluid.
Hello my friend. Yesterday I added steering wheel oil and by mistake I added an amount larger than the permissible limit. What should I do? Is this dangerous for my car?
If it is only a very small amount extra it should be ok but if it's a lot extra then you should remove it using a large syringe with some tubing on the end
When I open the brake fluid cap, the oil seems solid. Is there any plastic cap protecting it, or is it just gone bad? 😶
There can be a plastic filter mesh in there sometimes
Thanks! @@screwsnutsandbolts
@@miikahil You're welcome
Hi I just checked my dipstick and the oil is all
Black. I have 2007 peugeot 307 turbo diesel so it is normal or its time for oil change?
Oil turns black fairly quickly in diesel engines. In most cases that's normal. Do you know when the oil was last changed ?
@@screwsnutsandbolts i am not sure but the guy I bought it from said he recently changed it and i checked the dipstick and it was so black and I got confused but then I realised it diesel so may be its normal. I am not sure though. Will take my car for inspection next week😭
@@krishabista3520 Might be worth changing the oil and filter just in case. It's relativively cheap to do and then you'll know for sure 👍
what about transmission oil
That's not a fluid you normally change during a service. I will do a separate video about changing the transmission fluid
@@screwsnutsandbolts did you do the video? I can't find it
@@LowStakes This is the video I made about changing the transmission oil: th-cam.com/video/d_0aT_m-VS0/w-d-xo.html
Not good vaicle.... Service spear big expensive and budget
You didnt show transmission oil level 👎
