    when I was younger, i'd watch videos repeatedly, read magazines daily, and it was really just me studying every trick done, and when I slept, i'd have rem sleeps, where i'd be skating, and i'd do the trick I wanted to learn, and i'd know how to do it, land it every time and it would be so real, I'd wake up and feel like I landed it dozens of times, i'd go skate and do it just like I landed it before and i'd learn tricks a lot faster. no one understood me trying to explain it. I'd say I was just plugged into the matrix and that's how I learned tricks so fast.

    Issues with persistent de ja vu are usually problems inside the temporal lobes of the brain. And the hippocampus is inside of the temporal lobes .. abnormal brain activity in this area from brain injury hits to the head, or an infection or something else that damages the temporal lobe can result in man issues like deja Vu , anger and anxiety, depression.... Light sensativity, etc

    I smoke a lot of weed. I smoke before bed, typically 1-2 hours before I fall asleep. I never get dreams (or rather, I don’t remember). When I do. It’s because it’s past the 1-2 hour mark of me not smoking. Joe Rogan mentioned on a podcast/interview that when you cut weed intake back the dreams come back to you hardcore vivid. I would actually agree with that, with the experiences that I’ve had.

    1:00 😆 the phone number thing.. Ryan Lovell and I have had the same number since we were like 15 and we know each other's numbers by heart bc we grew up in that cusp between land lines and cell phones so when we'd hit each other up to go skate sometimes you had to know the number you were calling... I don't see him anymore really but I texted him last week stoked on the new Escapist and Vans video and lo and behold it was still his number I'll remember forever and he knew exactly who had texted him.

    De Ja Vu happens when messages to your brain get scrambled and you get it across a period of time so it seems familiar because you have gotten the messages in bits and each bit contains the same bits of message. Also I said First Kickflip at the same time. LoL.

      Memories are like a song being recorded on a piano. The piano keys being played are recorded in order but they can be recalled in any order to recreate the same memory. Think of this as sheet music being printed and then shredded, but the same song comes out of both. Sometimes our brain gets confused when two "songs" (memories) have the same "notes" (neuron firing arrangement)
      Hope that helps.

    • @drewfinn2
      @drewfinn2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@omgvague since I play piano and write music this concept is kinda meta a bit...but yeah I recall him saying that and for me it’s a weird explaination but the concept and reason for “confusion” is understood I suppose. I guess I feel that de ja vu is something else...either dream/precognitively related or even past lives maybe...

      I forgot if is it true or not, but dêja vu cannot be broke off if already aligned right. If it's wrong, then what you're dreaming before just a normal dream and cannot become a dêja vu. I mean, when it aligned right and you late to realize it, then you have been experienced dêja vu.

      Science definitely hasn't determined to any degree of accuracy what the purpose of dreams or even sleep actually is; any assertion that this or that explanation is correct is only an opinion, because there are many theories, some competing, some not. The fact learning _can_ happen during dreams doesn't mean that's the true purpose for dreaming; you can learn while your'e awake, but that doesn't mean that's the purpose for being awake. My opinion is that there is an explanation (my own personal explanation, in fact), but it's also proven that everything outside the scope of definition exists as a probability (albeit potentially an infinite probability, for some things); I personally think the unknown factor is something that cannot be removed from the equation of reality, with reality itself being a product of conscious perception as per quantum mechanics, and there are many anecdotes by legitimate scientists (to say the least) to back this hypothesis up. One of my favorites:
      "Are Fundamental Particles Real?
      I'd like to end my talk and start getting into discussion with one more thought which dates back about 10 years. This was a discussion I had in Lucerne, Switzerland with a French physicist whose job it was to find elementary particles. And he'd been doing this for most of his life. And we were having dinner, and so I was asking him about his work. And I said isn't it kind of strange that physicists find a whole set of particles and they all fit together and we get all our textbooks updated, and about 10 or 15 years goes by and then you find another whole set of particles that are smaller, and we get our textbooks all up to date again, and then another 10 or 15 years goes by and you do it all over again? And, you know, he'd thought this all through, because it only took a couple of seconds, and he looked me straight in the eye and he said these particles didn't always exist. God makes them up as physicists need them.."
      -- Seymour Cray, 1996
      As for God, well, a currently latent high-frequency cybernetic perceptual apparatus ultimately culminating in a femtotechnological neural network near the high-frequency termination of the electromagnetic spectrum occupying the fundamental "material" plane as well as the first moments "after" the Big Bang does the job quite nicely for me. Humans perceive time as being the present moving from the past into the future, but all it really is is a reconfiguration of high-frequency phenomena from our low-frequency, roughly 80 milliseconds retroactive animal consciousness, a fact that has invariably been overlooked by the scientific community with regard to wave-particle duality, by the way. From this perspective, the fact I personally recognize many deja vu's from dreams does not conflict with my sense of causality, since I interpret dreams as occupying the same latent high-frequency probability matrix as that afforded by the tiny subjective temporal gap that functions as a sort of analog high-frequency brainwave via psychedelic broadband cortical desynchronization.

When it happened to me the only thing that stopped it was praying to God and asking Him to fill me with the Holy Spirit and for Christ to protect me from the attack. Honestly got the chills just thinking about it and writing this reply. If you are not a believer of Christ now is the time to get close to Him before it is too late. God Bless dude
