Do you see all album or track covers via carplay and spotify? To it shows no covers
Cannot thank you enough. dealer did initial set up on used car and some how lost the connection. Tried forever to follow written directions in manual scattered over multiple pages. Your video got me connected in a few short steps. Question - will this now connect to internet so I can use Starbucks app to order ahead? It was working but somehow I lost that connection through the Audi. Is there a separate connection routine to get this connection back?
One more Q, is it possbile to use audi connect also as a naviagtion? E.g. I am connected and start google maps and will it then be displayed on the screen?

Switched to an iphone 13 recently with ios 16.4.1 but the full list of music doesn’t appear anymore like in the video. Is there a fix for this?
Very helpful, I've almost got my iPhone 14 completely working via wireless on my 2018 A5 Prestige. I can make phone calls and play music from my phone however, I can't get google maps to display on my MMI.
Google maps works with apple car play and it won’t show up on the speedometer display where regular car maps appear. I’ve tried a few times

Do you have bought the music connected package or is that already in the configuration ? Because I only have Bluetooth in my a4 B9 and without music or navigation + , my car is coming at the end of the month. I think Bluetooth is already with music connection.
I can only speak for the American market but the b9 A4 comes standard with Bluetooth audio streaming

Thanks for this. Oddly, it works to hear music, etc. through the car speakers but does NOT connect to contacts, so I can't call someone using the handsfree option. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Benoit Pellet this has happened to me before. It didn’t sync correctly. Delete the phone from the car in connection manager and delete the car from the phone in the Bluetooth menu and try setting it up again. You want to make sure you see a little icon on the bottom of the mmi screen that shows a picture of a phone with an arrow and then a picture of a car. Like this 📱➡️🚘

The Automatic transmission Audi A4,A5,Q5,Q7, and A4 Allroad will all have the MMI controls above the shifter.
How do I set up the phone to receive text messages through the car? My phone is set up this way as primary
I believe on the 2017 and newer A4s they removed the built in text message reading system and now you must use the Apple carplay system to do so. I have another video on how to setup CarPlay if you want some help with that 👍. I will try to do some more research to confirm this.
What about an older Audi q5

Philip Rojahn glad you enjoyed! This is not my personal car but knowing these cars very well I can tell you if you are decently familiar with iPhone or android phones skipping skipping the nav plus pkg is a great way to save some money. You do loose. The bigger center screen is nice as is virtual cockpit but if I were to spec an A4 I would skip the nav plus and put the money towards other packages. In my current car I use Apple CarPlay 100% of the time and never use the built in system. Hope this helps!
Ye okay. I'm just wondering if i'm gonna regret it because i really like the appearence of the bigger screen and having the functions:). However, yeah it's a lot of money, however missing options on a car which is pretty expensive anyway is also pity. :)
Philip Rojahn another thing to note is after the Audi connect trial is up you will loose things like weather and traffic updates which almost makes the built in system obsolete unless you pay to keep the Audi connect service active. If you are someone who likes the latest tech tho I think you personally would miss the upgraded stuff with the package.

so how does it put through a call or play audio from bluetooth? would have been good to see
fulesmackofule you can display contacts and recent call list on both the main screen and the gauge cluster screen and there is voice controls for that as well. For Audio you have to be in media and select the Bluetooth option. Then anything playing on your phone will push to the car speakers.

My MMI shows album covers from MP3 files on SD card, but not from Spotify played over Bluetooth. Do you know how to solve it?
Marko Stanojčić I believe from what I researched that if you download the songs on Spotify the album art with show up! I am not 100% sure about that but I’ve read other people doing this and having success. Hope this helps 👍👍

For safety reasons they do not let video come through the display, only audio.

Why won’t my music pair?

Joao Marra go to the Tel mode on the main screen and click the right bumper and go to “connection manager” scroll down to Bluetooth audio or media streaming and make sure your phone is checked off 👍 Hope this helps!
Engine does not have to be ON to use electronics..
