I love this song. Just wished they had been able to overcome their differences and had made this album. I have to say, this stuff sounds more like Yes than Drama ever did (although I do like that album too)
This is from the Paris sessions I believe which was when Rick Wakeman and Jon were still in the band, so that’s probably why it still sounds like Yes. I still love Drama as it is, but they definitely could’ve either re-worked or finished the songs from the Paris Sessions.
This is not the full song! Why oh why was this edited down like this? The epic ending is the best part and this version doesn't even have it. Yes fans CAN handle it, so please re-release the full length version.
What a strange and particular understanding or transcription of something like Argentine Tango... It would be intetesting listening Jon's Drama version also. Tango is an interesting song, different.
I just want to tell you everything A quality of days of days of old But the story has a sense of timelessnes and glory 'Twas in the golden days of at-witch Ord Icoloram A lord of might, a king of justice All in all, a gentle master more A vision he had whilst fighting in a war There appeared three angels of the sword Bring out the living if you have Bring out the hungry, let them feed Announced formation of the dead To rise and march The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram Built forth an army in the spirit of men The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram Built for the justice of millions that have died in the wars gone by Ten million arose and came from all the battlefields In ten thousand wars that had been fought bringing forth a multitude of hosts Astride a white horse, a ghost, the Reaper, shine in viscious fright Oh Reaper, king of night Better they rode and charged down the graves at the flight of the insane As one, over land they plundered The day was to come It was to come reckoning The day of judgement was at hand As it will be, so it will be The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram Built forth the army in the spirit of men This day the fate of man let no man put asunder All things will pass and peace will win forever The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram Built forth the army in the spirit of men This day the fate of man let no man put asunder All things will pass and peace will win forever The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram Built forth an army in the spirit of men Days gone by, days gone by
This recording gargles ballz, but it could maybe have been saved if they'd worked on the song more and recorded it properly. The gay disco beat doesn't help.
Best progressive rock group ever!
Criminally left off of the DRAMA remaster of 2004. All the other Paris songs are there that I know of, and this is simply the best of them.
My new favourite song.
Thanks for posting.i have the uncut version on vinyl,I'll post when I get a chance.
I'd like to hear that.
Alan the pure drumming man

The opening reminds me of Harry Chapin's "The Rock"

--and they cut it here to boot; original was over 7 minutes.
Thanks Icoloram...
you can join us to facebook page «The exclusively Yes and relatives radio» so welcome
Too bad the lyrics could not be printed; some of Jon's vox are hard to understand.
I just want to tell you everything
A quality of days of days of old
But the story has a sense of timelessnes and glory
'Twas in the golden days of at-witch Ord Icoloram
A lord of might, a king of justice
All in all, a gentle master more
A vision he had whilst fighting in a war
There appeared three angels of the sword
Bring out the living if you have
Bring out the hungry, let them feed
Announced formation of the dead
To rise and march
The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram
Built forth an army in the spirit of men
The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram
Built for the justice of millions that have died in the wars gone by
Ten million arose and came from all the battlefields
In ten thousand wars that had been fought bringing forth a multitude of hosts
Astride a white horse, a ghost, the Reaper, shine in viscious fright
Oh Reaper, king of night
Better they rode and charged down the graves at the flight of the insane
As one, over land they plundered
The day was to come
It was to come reckoning
The day of judgement was at hand
As it will be, so it will be
The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram
Built forth the army in the spirit of men
This day the fate of man let no man put asunder
All things will pass and peace will win forever
The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram
Built forth the army in the spirit of men
This day the fate of man let no man put asunder
All things will pass and peace will win forever
The lord of might Tiequitor Icoloram
Built forth an army in the spirit of men
Days gone by, days gone by
Don't ask me who Tiequitor Icoloram is though...I suppose only Jon knows
To be fair, they were often hard to understand even when they were printed. 😂
