This anime is a great love story, the background is the hikikomori but the real story itself is about people who complete themselves in their way of being with others, it removes all the stereotypes of what it should be like to relate.

Its a far more indepth and real insight into the creators mind and the actual life style, but they needed to tone down the drug use for Japanese TV, it would of made a great American PBS show though, like a dark live action which follows the manga, might make people understand why people end up in these terrible places.
@@Suitswonderland imo NHK ni youkoso wouldn't have worked out of the Japanese animation industry. The series had such a heavy parody essence that was perfectly done by the animators in form of cartoons. All the comedy in the show would be lost in a live action format. Idk, I think it would feel like a different show.
