In the US Navy, we have but a handful of ships from a bygone era that, if absolutely necessary, could theoretically be pressed into service. HOWEVER, the amount of sailors on hand that know how to operate these venerable behemoths are so few that they are in essence closer to lostech. Even more so, replacement parts for the engines and guns are either in museums and simply aren't in production anymore. If these old dreadnoughts and battleships were pressed into service, the crew would need to regularly pray to the ships spirit to keep it going after having been dormant for decades. We might just have a wonderful Mechanicus moment where we don't have any idea how the tech works and just have to hope we can keep it going.

Go out into the streets, the markets, and the public places; go there, and look upon the faces of humanity. Does fatigue not shadow their eyes? Do burdens not weigh down their shoulders? The really large organs have pipes so large the sound is so deep you cannot hear it anymore, but feel it resonating in your bones. I one got to hear one of those in the cathedral of colonge. That monster makes you feel the musik in your teeth. Absolutely insane and not something you could ever replicate.
When I hear this I picture hearing it eminating down a long dark hallway bathed in green light, the ceiling high above, the walls black and sleek, with almost circuit-like hyrogliphs, leading out into a great chamber, where thousands of part-human, part-machine humanoids clad only in rags and scrap metal, holding a glowing green light, all pray in unison, moving as one, like a surging current to a giant metal behemoth centred in the middle of this cavernous hall, bowed and still, but a deep drone eminating from inside it, almost like its praying alongside them, the bass of its "voice" gently rumbling every inch of floor as it utters a language only those who live under it's still, yet alive, gaze could understand.

This might be my favorite Soundtrack of all time. I bought the game and soundtrack mostly because of this.
For me it was this trick and noosphere. The organ is just too good
I imagine this being the music to a procession, lead by the pictured Mechanicus Priestess, inside a massive mechanical crypt, buried deep side Mars to either retrieve some relic or to award some hero. It fits so well.
Man, I haven't play Warhammer 40K and I'm not even planning to do so, but this soundtrack is just gorgeous.
I found this on a similar video and i started to believe in Omnissiah.
This guy had a shitty day and he just finished the reports of his job(which he said it was really hard) he somehow poured hot coffee on the laptop and the laptop bursted into flames. As he rushingly poured water to stop the fires the realization hit.
The reports.
He ran to a technician and technician said "Dont keep your hopes up" or something like that. Luckily this guy was a Warhammer fan and as the technician dissambled the laptop to get the hard drive out he prayed "Oh Greath Omnissiah. Help me. "
The Omnissiah listened. The harddrive was undamaged.
Edit: My headphones were having some hard time running. This god sent hymn came to my mind. I kid you not the buzzing sound and little tingering sounds went away at like 5th minute. Today 5/11/2024. Great Omnissiah has provided me with much needed aid for my equipment.
Praise be to Omnissiah.
Literally got a seemingly dead computer to power on the other day with this playing, the Omnissiah made the machine spirit happy and rose it from it's slumber.
Guess it's time to develop a robot mistress fetish
I smell heretical thoughts.
@@swordbrethrenmordred1230 it will be worth the punish FOR THE OMINSSIAH!
Slaanesh?
I've been wanting glados to step on me since 2011
@@swordbrethrenmordred1230 okay, now I can't get the image of inquisitors running around like the "I smell pennies" guy out of my head.
I leave my flesh behind for it has served its purpose. I leave my human life behind not as a sacrafice but as a treasure to be protected. For within me lives a mortals hopes and dreams of endless tomorrows. I honor them and speak of them in my soul. With this i bind myself to the blessed machine. For knowledge is the currency of the universe. My God Emperor Omnissiah cleanse me like polished steel and i shall continue my journey to your great vision. For the machine is immortal.
I love the little ratchet turning sound after bar 37 😁 The little touches to make hymnodical music sound mechanical are perfect.
time?
@@TheMylittletony the first one is at 1:21
I cant unhear this now and i love it
My PC was struggling to download something, so I played this through my phone as a joke, and I swear to the Omnissiah, it was downloading faster.
*PRAISE THE OMNISSIAH*
Guillame David made a truly wonderful OST.
With that said, the image in this video makes it look like this Techpriestess is from Hedon. And honestly, I don't hate that. 'cause Hedon is tight, even though every lady in that game has hips like a fertility goddess. (it's a pretty interesting design aesthetic)
