Regardless of whether or not he's a great drummer (which he is), I think he makes the song. The energy of the song would be much different if he didn't put his style and energy into the song. First time I heard the song, i was thinking to myself 'man these drums are bad ass."

I honestly wouldn't say he is the best progressive drummer of all time. You are exaggerating a lot.
