I don't know how much it really matters, but that judder spring was installed backwards. Service Manual says judder spring goes in concave side out (so it makes a "cup" shape when you're looking at it installed).
Im curious about this myself. My service manual shows it the way it is in the video, with the "cup" facing towards the spring seat, not towards the first steel plate. In theory, I dont see why it would matter either way, but I am curious myself, about to change my clutch plates for the first time.
Accidentally ran my clutch pretty dry and now even with new fluid it makes a very loud screeching noise when the clutch is out, haven’t take it apart yet and I’m not sure what to look for but any ideas?
+Rad Fox The CRF X has a seal between the engine oil and the clutch oil. You can use the same oil on both sides if it is rated for. It. My engine was sucking the oil from the clutch side over to the engine side and blasting the oil out the breather in the air box. I would fill the clutch with oil and after a hard ride it would be dry, the engine side would still have oil but now be overfilled. After I replaced the seal and the clutch disks the engine thrust washer failed after two rides. I suspect this was part of the real problem.
I have Suzuki rmz 250. I replaced discs but i didn't let the discs in the oil and i just put them in dry. Sometimes when i release the clutch with trottle it makes a scratching noise. Could that be the problem?
I did not have this problem. I assume you have adjusted the cable and you can't make it any tighter? Can you tell if the clutch is engaging and disengaging?
Thanks man, I've just replaced my 2004 CRF250X clutch following your video

Are you able to pull the basket itself with just that cover off? or does the whole side case have to be removed?
I thought the clutch fluid shared the same oil as the engine oil? Is that only a yammy thing?
Wait a minute are you talking about the CRF or the GTI?
