    I noticed that people get the Bible quote wrong!!! It's The LOVE of Money is the ROOT of all evil but people think it's Money is the ROOT of all evil!!;

    • @Georgeqaws

      $100,000 out of a million. Because even with a mere $900,000, the rich person would still have more than they need to live comfortably. If I only had 1 dollar to my name, you could bet I would we desperate to use it for myself... Because I would be in a desperate situation.

    A gift of a pastry from a poor person is a much bigger gift when they become wealthier. It’s the same person, a long as that person is deep. Poor people can be spoiled in other ways, and rich people can be very tight. It doesn’t matter if someone is wealthy if all they’ll give is a cheeseburger. If it’s not in you to be the bigger person and provide for others, then you will not be wealthy in a meaningful way, or wealthy at all. Be bigger then yourself. For instance, how do you view a home? As something to make you money? The reality is you have to keep putting money into it...you prove yourself to it and not just for a high payoff but because it needs a caretaker. I left San Jose because everybody just demands a lot of money from you when it should be a surprise and a good story of getting there. When it’s an expectation, I’m out, do it yourself. I did it myself and bought 2 homes elsewhere.

    Money is the root of all evil. You say money is important and whoever thinks other wise has none when in the bible it says a man who grabs more than he needs is foolish. Money isn't important. I am not poor I save so I won't need money I pay off so I won't need money . Buying solar panels so I don't have to pay electricity , being ok w my mediocre house instead of constantly up sizing. Pls don't try to convince ppl what you do is "right" the only person you are trying to convince is yourself. A true servant will give without receiving the kind of serving you offer is for your own benefit

    • @stephaniejane306
      @stephaniejane306 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SiaT27 I respect your opinion but money is not the root of all evil. Like Dave says in many talks that he gives is that money just amplifes who you already are. Money is a tool to use. It's nor good or bad it's just how you use it. Dave teaches people to live on a plan, live below your means, get out of debt and stay out of debt and build wealth to save and give generously. I think you missed that part. Also not all people serve to get money. I certainly dont. I do it from my heart and don't expect anything from it. Hope you have a wonderful life. 😃

      FALSE . Get your scriptures correct and RIGHTLY divide the word. It says The "LOVE" of money is the root of all evil 1 Timothy 6vs10. Money IS important because it answers all things Ecc 10vs19. The virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 did not criticize, in fact she understood that her talents would produce the resources (money) that would allow her to buy a field, invest and help others(Proverbs 31- 13-20)

  • @clericstorm2009
    @clericstorm2009 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Jesus Christ our God disagrees with you Dave. Being poor is a virtue. See Matthew 19:21. Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” You are too blinded by your wealth to see this. Come back to Jesus. Give your wealth away and serve your fellow man.

    • @fpl_bailey
      @fpl_bailey 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      clericstorm2009 read the whole book of Matthew so you don't misquote and misunderstand because Matthew 6 plays a key part in understanding why Jesus told him to give away his wealth. It is all about your Heart.
      Matthew 6: 19-21 is a great example telling to not lay up treasures on things on this earth which is where you heart is because Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". Going back to Matthew 19, Jesus knew the young man heart was on his possession so he told him to give his possessions away which made him sorrowful.
      2nd, verse 23 says "Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven". Meaning, it is not impossible for a rich man to enter but difficult if his wealth is his treasure because his heart is there.

      clericstorm2009 how is it mocking?I am laughing because you are misquoting scripture and when I back up what I said you responded with "consult your religious elder". If you actually read the whole book of Matthew you will know how to back up your statement instead of pick and choosing certain verses to try and make someone feel bad for having wealth but you will be unable to back up your statement because it is invalid/ wrong. I'm sorry if you felt mock because I am using scripture but don't go around just slapping verses out of context to try and make a point.

    • @herfirstmate
      @herfirstmate 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      william eady That only works if it works though? Why would you want people to take on risk? I hope it works for you, I really do. But for many, it wouldn't. Dave is a great business man and he's helped thousands of people get rich and millions get out of debt and get their lives back from the banks. How is that misinformation? I'd take the Baby Steps over your 450% any day. It's changed my life - my marriage is better than ever, my career is on track, I'm back in school, I'm making more money than I ever have, I'm on becoming debt free - but most importantly, I'm giving more than I ever have. I can only imagine hundreds of thousands are doing the same. 😊 Good luck though. I really hope it works out.

    • @azthevisualiza99
      @azthevisualiza99 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Herfirstmate I'm glad this is working for you. What I am saying is that he is trying to beat the point in that all debt is bad.. When in reality, it isn't. I financed a vehicle a few years ago at 2%. I can afford to pay it off entirely (which Dave would recommend) but why would I? I am able to yield higher returns elsewhere. That's one thing. Another is that he fails to let the viewers know that buying the stock index brings you MUCH greater returns than any mutual fund ever will, says the fees are minimal.. Do you know what the 3% mutual fund management fee compounded over 40 years equates to? Quite a lot of lost money.. Dave gives good advice, I just encourage his viewers to take it all with a grain of salt

      I definitely see where you're coming from, but i've always thought of it like this; mathematically it can sometimes make sense to incur debt in order to leverage your way to financial gain, but that's not really the ideology behind DR's financial views. When you incur debt you also incur risk, which means you're opening yourself up to a potential financial disaster. He speaks from experience knowing about the dangers of debt and the kind of pain and damage it can cause spiritually and emotionally. DR's financial teachings aren't just based off the math of a situation, spirituality and behavioral finance are also taken into account.In my mind, there is a difference between trying to use debt as a tool to build wealth, and using debt as a means of purchasing things you can's afford, and DR doesn't really differentiate between them. I also agree with you about the stock market index, in my mind its a far better place to park your money long-term than a "good growth stock mutual fund".

      There is no such thing as GOOD DEBT...That's an oxymoron...

    Dave Ramsey is great with debt advice but boy when he enters those ridiculous religious ideas he is really losing credibility. I understand that some people still believe religious myths due to bad education and brain wash tradition, but it gets really tough to watch after a while. Would be great to leave fairytales at home when talking about things that are actually real, like debt or finances.

      a LARGE percentage of his debt advice comes from the bible -.- ergo 'religious ideas' How's that for brainwashing
