Back in the 60’s when I was a young teenager my neighbor owned Pure Heaven 2 we won a lot of races, even held the record for 11 straight wins at OCIR.ive got a lot of stories about being at the drags.one time at Irwindale we were racing the Winged Express ,we were still push starting the cars then .Willie & Mousey were in front of us pushing down when Willie ran into the guard rail but that didn’t stop him from making the turn and running the race.
Man, that half-track long burnout Nitro Rat did was the most spectacular burnout I've ever seen! I wish we'd see more of that. That 5.77 Keith Wilson ran on Sunday night was awesome too, even if he didn't win the trophy because of it.
Me: it takes a driver with a specific type of mindset to drive one of these monsters. Driver : What's a mindset? But seriously, I love em , cars and the drivers.
Take me back to 1968 1969 Miami Hollywood Speedway watching AA FA name of the car was Baby Huey jumping all four tires off the ground at the light it was sure awesome then
Me too. I had a 23 T body blown Oldsmobile.. OH I I was the shit in Nashville TN.in1960 s . Some may remember the. WILD 🐭,at Bristol???? Great times didn't win much couldn't control it. But I was cool 💩👍 yeah 😁
OMG I'm back in High School class of 1973 reading Hot Rod magazine, but it's brought to life!
Somethings never change and nor should they.
best 3 minutes in drag racin'!
3 minutes? They hit the "LOUD PEDAL" and it was all over in just a matter of seconds!

What's really cool is uh, well, everything !!! But the 60's cars still running. Updated version that is. When Hall bros ran that 71 car
Actually the AA before FA doesn'T signify fuel or nitro in the tank. The lone F does. AA signifies the level of A-altered it is
AA/FA...AA/F..cking Awesome.

The AA/FA designation means AWFUL AWFUL because they are so squirrely getting down the track 🇺🇸🏁.
