What a trip you are having. Here is a fun fact for you, it might help with finding those diamonds. Diamonds are hydrophobic. Water will not stick to a diamond.

Oh interesting! Good to know :)
We will be testing those potential diamonds or may already have… in an up coming video :)

Excellent video Josh I really enjoyed it. I reckon I’d recognize ashes thumbnail anyway. :-)

Just flicking through my YT feed , and this 'gem' showed up (ha ha, get it??).
I would love to do this sought of stuff , im just incredibly time poor. What area in NSW would best be to purchase a property where i can do this ?

      Hey Adam
Anywhere over the mountain range near Inverell would sort you out :)
Hope you get out there and have some fun!

Hey guys. Cool video. I brought back some big pieces of quartz from Staggy Creek a bit over a year ago after also swagging it at Copeland Dam - It's a pretty part of the world and great for fossicking. I got into rock tumbling about 4 months ago and have been tumbling pieces from Staggy Creek (my first tumble). They are due out of the barrel next week! Cheers.

Awesome stuff! How did they turn out?
Yeah beautiful part of the world! We had a ball on that trip!

@@fossicking hey. Not good. The quartz I brought back was really impure. End result… maybe. 6/10. Finished with a few interesting pieces but nothing spectacular. Cheers.

      Hey mate.
Probably your best bet would be to go to the information centre in Inverell, they will give you a map and show you spots you can go fossicking. Best to do it when it’s not so hot though as it’s hard work
