- Korean singer, dancer and fashion icon CL has been pushing boundaries in the pop industry for over a decade - first as a part of the girl group “2NE1", and now as a solo artist. She has been smashing stereotypes of what it means to be an Asian star, and has gathered legions of fans worldwide with her bold style and eclectic playlists. This summer, she has been hopping in between music festivals, while also making time to attend Fashion Week here in Paris. We met with CL to talk about her debut solo album "ALPHA", fashion, and France.

This intervew should have been longer than this. I would love to have CL sit down for like 2 hours and explain things in detail...expand on things she mentions in many interviews like "I come from a K-Pop system" - Ok she is 2Gen. How different is that from what we see now? The formation of Very Cherry, what does it mean/how tough it is to be an independent artist (i.e. marketing strategy, production, styling), plans for the future. Maybe it is just me that I read/watch every interview 😅

Maybe because I'm french, I was quite surprized having CL doing interview on a public french tv channel. So, I take this interview as a bless. But yeah I can understand your point of view as GZB
I think in another interview she talked more in depth about this. Or it might be a vlog or magazine article. Look for it ♥️
These interviews are ment as intros to people who don't follow kpop as much. Fir more indepth it'd be nice to see written articles or in weveres
Y’all ask too much, this is a French channel and they barely shed a positive light on kpop
🍒Love listening to CL's speaking voice. Its interesting how she talked about breaking boundaries because that's exactly what she embodies having lived a little in France & Japan, born and trained in SKorea but speaks with an American English accent.
I love the fact that she got interviewed about her past and her present. She got to define more about the new music she worked on and also the latest stage performances she did recently. Her voice is always such an asmr tbh! I love her!!

I need more deeper and more detailed interviews like this... because as we all know in kpop, they're very secretive and private, very rare that they do interviews like this where they share a lot of details. Most times they answer very shallow, rehearsed, or simple and plain. I want to hear more about the 2NE1 disbandment and all that surrounds it... why 2ne1 doesn't still come back, make songs, perform or have a tour if all the members wanted to, etc.
