Actually yes. I did a waifu survey on facebook. Pretty large group. Cause we al l know facebook makes polls legitimate, lol. Anyway, Rin was added to the poll a total of four times. Saber got 96 votes, apparently ranking above Rin. But when you sumned up all (original plus 4 added options) votes, Rin ended up with a total of 110 votes, ranking above cute Saber. Let's allow some time for that to sink in... Rin ranked above Saber. Let's face it, that's pretty remarkable. I do think lovely Saber is the essence of a waifu dream. But apparently I failed to take competitive Rin into account! Personally, I self identify more with Rin and thus feel like elegant Saber is more anime crush material. But my self identification didn't let me see that about Rin. She is perfect after all.

Saber route, she basically babysit Shiro until she nearly died on his home protecting Illya and healed herself as much as she could before telling Shiro where to go next. On her route, basically gave us all the reasons to see why she is best girl. And in Heaven's Feel *spoilers i warned you* She gave Shiro the schematics to make a theoretical dagger that only her could use and then fought Sakura with it like a fucking boss, trashing all of her minions like nothing and was basically winning the fight. On the bad end endings Sakura needed Saber to beat her.

I've been a Fate fan for about a week and I genuinely think Rin's VA is the perfect choice for her character. There's no room for improvement there. Rin may very well be proud, but she definitely has a softer, cuter side. The voice acting brought out the softer side perfectly.
I wouldn’t say Tokiomi was cold hearted. He was pragmatic given the nature of Mage culture, though he definitely made a mistake in relinquishing Sakura to the Matous.

S'a shame there weren't any safe families to adopt her, and it's a shame the family's protection could only be given to one child instead of two (Surely Tokiomi knew - or had a feeling - that Zouken was a shifty character?) It's been a crappy day so far and I needed to smile and feel warm inside. You gave that to me, so thank you very much! I've been wanting to write a story about Shirou and Rin's life after the clocktower and this reinvigorated me to resume plotting that out for when the time comes that I can get around to it. =)
I never thought her voice in the Sub was odd or misplaced. to me she seemed like a girl or young woman trying to live up to the expectations on her but was still at heart a more gentle and caring person, something Emia(sp?) brings out in her.

Well i am a year late but let me elaborate rin was bound by the rules of the magus families even her mother couldn't have a say in it their mental state is parralelled here sakura formed a fake image of rin's persona that she will eventually rescue her and rin had a fake image of Sakura having a good life because the moment she lets loose on that she will start having mental instabilities and her feelings will get the best of her which was the exact equal of what a magus shouldn't be even in the bad ends she would be mentally destroyed if she killed sakura rin truly loves sakura and even chose her over the whole world in the final moments its just the rules of tohsakas and matous that created the gap

Shes not a bad voice, for sure, but Rin from UBWA from blueazurecrow is the hands down best version of her voice in my opinion. Just the valley girl/psychotic delivery and inflections are just so good, its hard to believe its a fan creation, UBWA has so much talent, I believe the delivery, lines, voices and timing are just so far above even the official dubbing from either Japanese or English sides.

Personally, if Tokiomi had actually met Zouken, I don’t think he would’ve let Sakura be adopted and had only met with a proxy, likely Byakuya Matō.
