Take a sneak peak at the creative process behind Christopher's new album in this behind-the-scenes video series. Originally created as part of his Kickstarter campaign for 'To Shiver the Sky', these videos were released exclusively to Kickstarter backers during the composition and recording of the album. We're making them available to all now.

I remember when my friends would start Civ IV just to listen to Baba Yetu and heck, I couldn't blame them. Several years passed and I had just installed latest Civilization, going through the menu options, at first ignoring the music playing in the background. After about a minute I realized- "Holly sh1t, what kind of sorcery is that theme?!". I googled it's author and ever since then I'm your dedicated fan. You, sir, are a genius.

I have done that with all of his themes.
As an Italian it makes me immensely proud, Tin chose my native language for his masterpiece.

There aren’t very many games where the music becomes more than simply an accompaniment of the gameplay. Christopher Tin has managed to do so twice with Civ 4 and 6; a theme so good you sit in the menu until it’s over. Incredible.

Petition to make Christopher Tin the Great Artist of the Atomic age in the next Civilization. Helps to boost a civilization on culture points for a cultural victory hahaha
Pretty sure no one still alive will ever be made a Great Person in a Civ game outside of modding - but there's already a Civ6 mod that makes him a Great Musician. Creates the Great Works of Music "Baba Yetu" and "Sogna di Volare". Even plays a clip of each, like other Great Works.

Every now and again, I get super into aviation and its history. Then I listen to this a lot and it makes me choke up. Thank you Christopher and friends

Every time I hear this song I get such a waterfall of emotions. A couple of months ago the song got a whole new meaning for me. After studying 5 years for something I could not finish in the end, I decided to go a completely different way. Last Juni I had examens and though it was tough starting from zero, this song gave me so much strength and willpower to move on. Now, after receiving amazing grades, it only gives me more joy and love ... Thank you for you beautiful, empowering music. Hopefully I will be able to say it to you in person one day

So in love with this song, gets me ready for everything, like I can do anything.
The way all the voices lead up to and converge at the word "Gloria" gives me goosebumps.
I remember the Goosebumps I felt listening to Baba Yetu. That song captures my culture in every way. That's the beauty of Mr Tin's music. Not only does he lets you hear; he lets you see. You can literally see yourself flying when listening to Sogno di Volare. Powerful.

Man you are a genius. Remenber one thing man, all those great artists we remember were not all recognized during their time. But as time passed, their music became legendary, think of Bach whose music used to be ignored and despise and today hes considered a genius in music. Remember your songs you wrote will stay throught time. Like me who just discovered your musics today, same with baba yetu. others might discover you in a year or ten. But your music will stay be remembered
I think this theme, above all, does speak the world "civilization" itself, through the story of evolution of flight. It was inspiring to watch this BTS.

Watching this video I realized that you not only make good music because you were contracted to do so, but because you have a real passion for the art. Sogno di Volare is a transcendentally beautiful piece of music. Thank you so much for the hard work that went in to making it.
p.s. the best mod in civ 6 is the one that adds Christopher Tin as a great musician.

The vanilla Civ 6 menu screen itself is inspiring, with the compass and scrolling maps. It left me deeper impression than their expansions.

It’s so important for me, it is motivating me to do what I want.
My class members did always mone about my music, but their rap music is just motivating them to be rude and anti social. My music is motivating me to do greater things, learning about how the universe is working and making thoughts about many things.
I learned to find the epicness I found in music in science and in my daily live.

Best Music a man could possibly wright for this game, everything fits together telling a story of progression, suffer, achievements and nature, about loosing and giving and about a view back through history of mankind to the point where we are now, the democracy.
Where all humans should be viewed and treated as equal and love should be the bond between us all.
But there were wars in the future we should not forget, but not repeat.

Thank you Chris! I loved The Drop That Contained The Sea so much. It helped me get through a challenging time in my life. Everytime I listened to the album I was able to forget about my troubles and stress. Hearing Iza Ngomso makes me euphoric, and Waloyo Yamoni is incredible. It leaves me breathless everytime. Calling All Dawns is an amazing experience from start to finish as well. Mado Kara Mieru returns me to a time when my world was more colourful, and helps bring some of that colour back.
So I just want to say thank you again, Chris. For everything you've composed. I'm so excited to hear what's coming in to Shiver the Sky, and have no doubt it will be magical.

Anyway I've always thought the long term thinking you show when composing is mesmerizing. Calling all dawns blew my mind, but To shiver the sky is just something else. The use of this album's leitmotifs is amazing, and the ambiences you are capable of creating are just incredible. Thank you so much for your inspiration and talent! I've always liked music and videogames, I've studied and composed before, but now I've decided to work hard in order to leave my footprint and shoot for the stars! You are inspiration!

Sogno di Volare made me want to go sightseeing on Monte Ceceri in Florence, by PLANE from Japan!
I just looked up in Maps where that is: Fiesole, A suburb of Florence high in the hills. When I was in my teens (second half of last century) my class went to Florence for a school trip. Our professor insisted we go to Fiesole, from where there is a magnificent view of the city. He was right, don’t miss it! If I am ever there again I’ll have this tune on my phone as a proper sound track.
PS: as a former paragliding pilot I can now appreciate the lift and thermals this location enjoys from the valley below. Methinks that’s where Leonardo went to observe bird flight and experiment with his flying machines.
