I get a lot of intrusive thoughts and have struggled with my mental health since then. One night I had bad anxiety believing YHVH didn't want me or that I was unredeemable. I was freaking out and so so scared I began crying from being terrified. Then all of a sudden this song started playing in my soul. Right then and there I knew Yeshua (Jesus) was gently bringing this song up to me to say "If you lose sight of love, hold my hand and have no fear". I just knew he reminded me of this song, and to not be frightened and trust Him no matter what my thoughts or feelings tell me. To line all of them up with the truth of His Word. We need to believe the scriptures and what they tell us about the truth of who HE says we are as HIS children. ❤️

My son picked this song as a surprise for our Mother Son dance at his wedding. He was 7 when I won tickets and backstage passes to see Steven... so I took him as my guest... we used to listen to a lot of his songs while my son was growing up. As soon as the song started I recognized it right away... and when the song says you can cry on my shoulder, Mom couldn't help but put her head on his chest while dancing and the tears started flowing... and he just smiled... mission accomplished. :)

My dad was never very nice to me and mostly disappeared out of my life when I was about 6 years old. I almost never saw him again. He married someone who was not my mom and this next woman had some kids. My dad stayed with them and completely ignored me for years and sometimes he would go to church, so the man and his newer wife are total hypocrites because it does not say in the Bible that a man can abandon his kid. Dads are not supposed to disappear no matter how old the kid gets.
This song reminds me so much of my dad. He died 7yrs ago. I miss him everyday. I know he is always here.
For some reason this is the one song that strongly make me think of his late daughter Maria... The song of course directly regards to Mr. Curtis as a parent a dad dealing with the trials and tribulation of having lost his child, with Christ be there by his side

Years ago, I've learned that the story behind the creation of this song was about Steven's longing for his wife (they were newly wed that time) because he has to go abroad frequently to share the Word of God through worship.
I just love the sincerity of this song.

My son picked this song as a surprise for our Mother Son dance at his wedding. He was 7 when I won tickets and backstage passes to see Steven... so I took him as my guest... we used to listen to a lot of his songs while my son was growing up. As soon as the song started I recognized it right away... and when the song says you can cry on my shoulder, Mom couldn't help but put her head on his chest while dancing and the tears started flowing... and he just smiled... mission accomplished. :)

He said “why are you getting married in a church if you believe in superstition?” When we said it wasn’t good luck to see the bride before the wedding. He brought her in, got her all ready, then got her to close her eyes and brought me in, also with my eyes closed. He put my hands in hers and told us to open our eyes when we heard the first note of music. This is the song that played... He made a few shots of just the two of us, then left us alone for a few short minutes to just talk and share the excitement of the day with each other. Then he came back in and we did almost all of our photos before the wedding leaving us to get to our reception a lot quicker. I’ve suggested this to every engaged couple I know. We loved this and this song made it even more special!
