Created in collaboration with Amole Gupte, this movie is the story of the "Idiot", Bugs. Bugs, in the movie, is the affable, run-of-the-mill neighborhood "uncle ji" who, by the looks of it, does nothing in life and lives a frugal life. Wearing rubber chappals and debating with the vegetable vendor on the price of grocery, he is the laughing stock of the teenagers, as well as most other residents in the building. Through the movie, however, slowly, the real worth of this "Idiot" emerges, and the teenagers realise that they can, indeed, learn a lot from this multi-millionaire.

Really came to watch this short film after hearing Gajendra kothari such a nice film teaching the value of investing money and compounding it. Really eager to see whether all the people acted in this film invested in SIP and how much their portfolio look like now after 11 yrs just out of curiosity. One more thing this should be played across the nation in schools and colleges so that the upcoming youth will inspire from this and know the value of investing.

I have watched this video in 2017 for the first time n did regret how could I missed this video ...what ever from then I stared invest in sip n till now I convinced my family members for that ....n everyone thanks me fir this ....in 2021 I just withdraw my sip for some personal reason with 89% profit....❤agn I started 2022........financial education is very much needed...❤

I just watched this video and it made me so happy I first saw this video when I was in 6th or 7th class. It introduced me to something completely new, like investing, SIP, and people like Warren Buffett. The video randomly showe up back then, and I watched it because it looked like a short film. After that, I started learning more about SIP and Warren Buffett and not also that but I started to explore completly new things books, podcast, personal growth.
It's been 6-7 years, and I've always wanted to thank the channel, but I couldn’t remember the name. I searched many times but couldn’t find it. But today, just like the first time, it showed up again, and I realized, this is the video I’m so happy right now.
This kind of video should be shown in schools because it really helps students learn. Thank you so much for this beautiful video.

I am investing in equities since 2008 and started MF sip in July 2010 ( as soon as I started earning ) and continue to do so till today and will continue with it till I am alive. Honestly I was not aware of potential of equities in wealth building till bull run of 2014. This is brilliant movie encouraging masses to invest in equities. Also I am big fan of Mr Warren buffet and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. They are my ideals. I always keep in mind six tips of W Buffet.
But Rolls Royce in the end of this movie made me emotional. Hopefully every equity investor will be able to buy RR one day. Happy investing.

also, Rare enterprises and Berkshire Hathaway aren't exactly comparable..
Buffett for most (if not all) part of his life.. been about value investing and also looks for 'growth' investing.
RJ and his whole circuit (included and includes big private fund managers as also Sg/HK and India/Dubai based Indian and Foreign Instl. investors) colluding to 'rig' stocks overtime (sometimes even 3-4 years).. often times the managements and promoters toed the line too.
I do recollect investing in Praj Industries, by chance! after having met some decent minds in their R&D and management teams. (a close friend was working there in core engineering works and we happened to visit him as friends do).
we thought that the plans and prospects looked real and promising, so we invested.. but within 6-8 months: Praj also caught the eyes of {{name withheld}} (who is known to us, but was/is core circle of RRakesh Jhunjhunwala) and they all [5-6 big fund managers] made creeping investments over a year totalling to over 11-12% of the floating stock.
at a convenient time (after a year or so) they let the 'news' leak that RaRe Enterprises and others were invested in Praj.
Obviously, in a booming market/ up-cycle the stock performed much better than the benchmarks due to this seeded information.
But all those 'operators' gradually exited between 3 to 4 years.
RaRe and his cronies invest even in stuff like Karuturi Global! since i happened to personally know {{name withheld}} (the close aide/partner of Rakesh J), we know how Ram Karuturi actually met some of these while they were somewhere in mid-east, sponsored them to fly to Africa to show/ boast/ lure them to invest by showing all the 'agri land' that was under the control of Karuturi Global.
some token investments did come their way due to that PR exercise!
a Warren Buffett wouldn't ever have so easily fallen for the likes of Silverline Industries and the likes in the pre/post Y2K era!
