Mid-summer is definitely a great time to attract your pollinators to your garden and the butterfly bush is indispensable as far as adding color, variety, and a nectar-rich food source for pollinators. If you are looking for a taller butterfly bush, check out varieties like Miss Molly and Miss Ruby. If you prefer shorter, more compact varieties, look for the Pugster series, Pugster Pink & Pugster Blue.

This plant has been declared as invasive in many States and does not provide adults a host plant for their young.
There are better native options.
Milkweed will provide a natural host plant for monarchs and is a better choice as B. bush does not.

From what I know - The ones you have mentioned are newer varieties - most of them are sterile - no reseeding.
