Grand job.🍻 Although being a Yorkshireman, I was expecting you to grind the burrs and flip the ring gear around. 😜😂 Did you check the starter teeth?. When I done the same job on a Landy 2¼D, the starter teeth were starting to wear too. Keep up the good work, Legend.👍🏻
I would say given that you're dealing with a 30+ year old machine that's actually quite good. My brother had a tractor engine seaz on 10 hours and another from the same make of tractor went through 3 couches in 3 years mind you that's what you get wen people don't stop still with a manual shuttle.
You made a simple job look difficult ! Just cut it through so far as you can then split it with a chisel 60 secnds work ! Refitting was well done though you should heat the ring gear off the flywheel, less heat loss/ transfer.
Well done. Little by little, you'll get her fixed in no time. Keep the good work, Paul.
Another excellent video, paul. The first new part was added to the mighty perkins engine. Keep up the good work, pal😊👍
Nicely done , Paul 👍
Very interesting video Paul 😊
Worth taking the engine out then Paul for sure that ring gear would deteriorate quite quickly in that condition 👍

Ese motor es mas duro , que el acero al carbono.

Just what I was thinking, just Nick through the ring with the gas torch….. same result in the end though
