@@Takandrius The handling pack looks great in the showroom but realistically isn't meant for a daily driver. Pilot 4S tires are more than enough for the street and actually work well in the rain too. 😉
I’m an old (truly old) Army vet, too. I had a 2018 GT350 which I sold, a G82 M4 Comp, and a 22 Challenger HC RE JB. The GT350 was the most fun to drive of the 3. Purely grin-inducing. Thinking about grabbing a Mach 1 just for the fun factor.
It is beautiful...but...a new one is 55-60k ish for base models (no even perf brakes) and the dealership markup 10grand a base model????
And for the same price you have a zl1 1le. I think the over pricing is going too far.

Woltz and Wind Ford in Pittsburgh PA has two Fighter jet gray new Mach 1 listed at $57,550. I didn't check equipment, but the dealership is listed. I found 4 other ones around the same price at other dealerships

I made two builds to send to a dealer and now you got me thinking to go manual. However the shifting of the 10 speed is INSANELY fast.
I've had the 10R80 in my GT for 3 years now and sure it's fast but it's not perfect and has several annoying quirks. To me the point of paying extra for the Mach 1 is because it comes with the proper Tremec 3160 transmission.
Shaker hood was an option on the big block 69-70 Mach 1. The fixed scoop was for looks and standard on the same years. The air cleaner was basically the cold air intake unlike what's used today. Ford has air intakes on the current GT and Mach 1 hood which basically handles cold air intake.
Sorry brother, with your TH-cam name, you can NOT talk about a Ford Mustang Mach1...sorry brother...BUT...at the same time I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from...
My challenger, scat pack, shaker sucks air through the shaker and the the hole in the Halo like a Helllcat does. My first car was a 70mach1 in high school class "81". I learned you don't let your best friend borrow it when you still owe your dad for it.
Sad to say I had to drive a Toyota station wagon for the rest of the year 😪. Going to get me a new Mach1 or Win one! 🤞 good video. 👍🏻
I special ordered a Mach 1 back in April and it’s getting delivered very soon, it has the handling package, recaros, and tremec 6 speed. I can’t wait to get it, it’s going to be amazing!

The only thing that my gt350 is jealous of is rev matching, but the GT350 track attack in September should fix that. I get to learn on someone elses clutch.
71-73 Mach 1s had Ram air hoods not shakers. so not all Mach ones had shakers.

What is the orange on the front splitter? Is that tape, paint or a secondary splitter installed underneath it? And, where can I get one from, that changes the entire aesthetic of the car, I love it.

Zander!. This Mustang mach 1 has orange color front bumper lip. All other mach1 I have seen of same color & style doesn't have that, not even on ford website. How to get this added to the car. Any link?.
I saw one at the dealer and I gotta say.... it was very performance pack 1-ish. The wheel offset was bad and it sits up too high. My performance pack 2 has a more aggressive stance than the base Mach 1. AND THE MACH 1 WAS 65k FOR A NON HANDLING PACKAGE. Now that handling package with the big wing, the more aggressive wheels/stance and front splitter is worth the money. Sadly I haven’t seen any of those and I can’t build one on the Ford site yet.
Nice Mustang. I was about to order one to my specs a couple years ago when they were coming out. But when I saw the pricing, it seemed overpriced. I starting searching info on GT350’s and I decided to go with a low mileage one owner 2019 GT350 for less money than a new nicely equipped Mach 1. It’s been two years now and I still get blissful when I walk out to get into my daily driver. The voodoo engine is just so satisfying. I do wish it had rev matching, but hey, I can still blip the throttle effectively.
What did he get done to the splitter? That orange on it looks great just ordered my Mach 1 and that’s the first thing I’d do

I probably would get the Mach1 with the handling package but I already have the 2019 Bullitt which I still love for its retro qunderstated styling and overall driving feel.

Bought a loaded 2021 GT premium and the Mach loaded here in Canada is still 17k above the GT. not sure how the Mach can be that much better to justify the cost. No way that tremec

I’m done with hearing he did it right when buying a manual. Why buy the slower car? Burn outs happen just as easy in the auto. Back in the day I understood but I don’t get it now. Keep buying the manuals and the autos will keep beating you.
I just don't trust an auto to hold up to the abuse that I would throw at it. I'm not concerned about the fact that someone else is faster as long I'm enjoying myself.

2020 GT with ricaro cloth seats, PP2 and 301A, for roughly $45k
2021 Mach1 with Mach1 elite package, ricaro leather seats for $60k
The gt. The mach isnt worth a 15k difference. You could put 15k into that already nice gt and have one sick ass ride. You could even put your own tremec 6 speed in it if you are looking at the manuals. You are paying for a name. The mach will not outperform the gt pp2 by enough to justify a 15 grand difference, and even then itd be a drivers race

Zander I went and checked out a 2021 Mach 1 today . It stickers for $61,900 however the Ford dealership is pricing it at $71,900 . I can get a Roush stage 3 with the 10R80 cheaper what do you think ? Trying to make up my mind if I should trade in my BULLITT or just keep it . BULLITT K40
Personally I think trading your bullit for a Mach1 for $71,900 is a bad move unless you want the 3160 transmission. But not sure that’s worth trading for. If you want an auto. Trade for a GT and supercharge it

@@Zander13Productions Zander I kept my BULLITT. I gave it to my wife for our 31 anniversary. I did replace it with that Roush stage 3 paired with the 10R80 transmission. Wow now I understand what it’s like to ride in a forced induction vehicle. Looking forward to seeing what your doing to your car . Hope to see y’all at Beech Bend this season.
What is the horsepower advantage to adding those double 'H' pipes?
Not much but will flow better and might feel a little increase in torque
4 things I suggest you to do:
1-headers
2-H or x pipe
3-drop in filter or steeda intake
4-Tune lund or palm beach

If it has the Handling package, there is some parts missing. Camber plates, wing, front splitter, front fender flares.

Love the 2016 gt350, only problem would be oil consumption. 60 grand for Mach 1 is pricey, however around 50 grand if you can find one, choice would be 2013 to 2014 GT500, 640hp is perfect, even a 2012 GT 500 with 550 is plenty.
Google the Ford dealership in Heidelberg, pa which is in the Pittsburgh area. They had 3 a week ago. I believe they were listed in the low $50,000
Meh. gt500 just spins. I went to test drive a gt350 and ended up buying a 10 speed mach 1 and couldn't be happier.

Zander , after buying a Roush stage 3 with the 10R80 and getting away from the Lawsuit transmission in my BULLITT . I’m really enjoying the new pony so much that my wife has traded in my BULLITT for the Mach 1 with the 10R80 . Just got it yesterday. Will I miss the BULLITT? Oh yes but do we love the Mach 1 ? Oh Hell Yes . Looking forward to seeing you at Beech Bend drag strip some time this year . Hurry up and get your car back together. Formally known as BULLITT 40 .

@@Zander13Productions Ty, Zander. -- the amount of goodies packed in this car for it's 60K package? is well worth it imho. If you haven't driven one, I'd highly suggest doing so. GT350 - GT500 - MACH 1. Now, I have them all.

Imo if you just absolutely want a mach 1 go for it but if building it and going to the strip and racing is what you want then gt all day. Alex Flores was told I believe from Ben Calimer that the tremec in the mach 1 and gt350 is weaker than the mt82.
Whoever told you the MT82 was more reliable than the Tremec TR3160 is a joke

My Bullitt has the MT82 with rev matching. It works great as you noted here. Unfortunately it is t a Tremec but Ford chose not to use it in the Bullitt. So,far it hasn’t been bad though and no complaints.. The Bullitt has the same engine with the same tweaks for the 480 hp like the Mach 1.
MT82 is crap transshitiism. Unfortunately us Bullitt owners got screwed on that one!

You are correct. It’s a “parts bin special “. It’s a Bullitt with a GT350 transmission. If it’s the “performance package “, its just getting the coolers it should have had from the beginning. This is honestly what the performance package 1 should have been from the beginning.

@@vlad146 just a money grab for a Bullitt with a better transmission. It’s super overpriced ! It’s about 10k more than it should be for a sticker package and some updates. But honestly, Ford did the same thing wit the PP2. Added some aggressive wheels and rubber, and then hyped it as a “track car “.
Now it’s wheels, transmission and a cooler it should have always had and they are asking a premium.
When the GT350 came out, it was a deal at 50k. But Ford let the dealers hype them and mark them up like crazy. I’ll never understand that. So now Ford wants GT350 money without the special engine, fenders, brakes and the homage. So again, a parts bin special. Why didn’t they at least put a functional hood scoop? That’s lazy that they didn’t.
And that's why I drive an SS 1LE... with what these guys are charging I'll find something just as fast with a better interior... or A used ZL1 1LE
@@vlad146 I have a 2SS 1le. Second one. I had an 18 but I like the 19 a bit more so I got one. I was also a 2016 Mustang Performance Package 1 owner for 3 years, so I have plenty of seat time. I modded the suspension and exhaust to a pretty good degree and still desired more. The chassis just isn't there in the Mustang. They may make it look close on paper but it's not. The only place the Mustang accelarates is in the gen 3 Coyote. And even that's a wash. My best friend has an 18 PP1 and it's no contest from low speeds. It's not even close. I will say that auto is a different car. And the Mustang loves 60 rolls, but it's the nature of a DOHC engine. I'm old fashioned, so if I compete, it's going to be from a dig or low speeds.

I think everyone should buy brand new Mach one for couple reasons so that Ford gets profit and to keep mustang in production. Buying used vehicles helps kills the models such as North America Taurus, fusion and etc.

It's not worth buying a American sports car new unless it's a exclusive trim like Shelby or roush. They depreciate too fast.

So there is absolutely a point in buying an American car even if it’s not an exclusive trim. But I understand your comment because I feel that way about merc, bmw, etc... to me I wouldn’t spend money on a euro unless it’s an //M or AMG etc.

The 3160 tranny is good upgrade but boosted then can only take so much. I had a 2016 GT350 procharged with 735 whp and broke two of them.
The 3160 Can’t hold the same boost as the MT82. It’s a better feeling trans but can’t hold as much boost.

I guess it would be worth it if you track the car. I'm a straightline guy so it would be ridiculous to pay 60k for a parts bin 5.0. It just seems like all Ford did was stick the GT350 suspension into a 5.0 and jacked the price up 20k. Pass.
Ford added better suspension , transmission, aero and engine parts for added performances and for cooling to enhance track use. Overall it’s a good buy for $60k. There are numerous added parts from the GT350, GT 500 and the Bullitt. It’s not simply cosmetic or badging by any means. It’s supposed to be sharper Handling than the Bullitt and more track focused. Slots between the Bullitt and GT350 /GT 500. Because both the Bullitt and 350 are no longer being made it’s the only performance upgraded track focused Mustang between the GT and GT 500. Ford says it’s the most track focused Mustang 5.0 ever!

I went to test drive a used gt350 and ended up buying the Mach 1. It is SO much better.

Would cost too much. The dct in the gt500 costs like 8 grand and thats just an off the shelf generic dct. The Mach 1 is already 15 to 20k over what it should be.

Imo the 2021-22 Mach 1 is a better choice over a used GT 350 If you want a Automatic.
They should phase out the MT82 and just put these in the GT's now. Even if it raises the car price by a grand. Who cares, you're already paying out the ass for a new car.
