@@PazLeBon it all depends on your type of build really. The home we live in right now only cost us £25k . This is on another video on our channel - Building a home for £25,000 . I would guess the total floor area to be around 80m2 . Part timber frame construction , part mobile home. Zero building regulations . Our home we are currently building is 250m2 with building regs . Big difference especially in the UK . If you can build anything with building regs for under £1000 per m2 in the UK you are doing really well. 👌
@@TJBrennan58 thanks for the comment. We are using straw not hay. Hay is a food , straw is a by product of food but has almost zero nutritional value and therefore rodents aren't particularly interested. They might like the fact that it is warm but this would be the same in any type of construction ie in a traditional cavity wall. The walls are built with rodent proof mesh on the outside and completely sealed by the render on the inside so there is no access for rodents anyway.
I've priced our cabin type 80m2 at around 50-60k euros if self building, initially I'd hoped/30-40k. Gl man, try enjoy it

Rodents love hay. How do you stop a rodent utopia from forming in your walls?
