I am deeply moved by this video! As a youngster I played with and tested the 21 card principle, and found the effect could be achieved after only 1 or 2 rounds, but it was not consistant. I tried it with 15 cards and discovered similar principles. Thank you so much for this!
Great trick. It can be done quicker by shuffling the deck at the beginning and dealing down the piles yourself. Also, at the end, after the third time, you can deal down 11 cards and their card will always be at the 11th position. This allows you to not only reveal their card, but also predict the number where their card is. Thank you and may you and yours have a Blessed holiday season.
That's the first card trick I learned when I was in elementary school, but we always used 3 rows of 7. Never had anybody get bored with it as you say. I'm 64 now. I don't do magic, just came across your trick. And on the third time their card is the 4th card down in whatever row they say. I have a better ending though that I came up with myself and I do it with every single card reveal, if I were to do one. Here is my ending. Now that you know what their card is, I gather them up, and shuffle them, then have them shuffle them. Then as they're shuffling and hand them back to me I say, "okay, I may have screwed this up." "But what I'm, going to do is toss one card at a time out on the table and I'm gonna try and guess your card based on your reaction, your job is to not let me figure it out, so don't say a word, if I pass it up don't let me know because I will notice you looking at it and you'll give it away." Now, as I toss them out (face up so they can see them) in a haphazard pile, pausing to study them as I do. As I toss their card, I will pass it up and toss a card half covering it, and at least one or two more not covering it, and I'll stop. And I'll say, "Okay, I'll bet you a beer, or a dollar that the next card I flip over (and you tap the back of the deck in your hand twice) (because that sells it) will be your card. They have never not fallen for it. They'll say "Okay", (because they know I already passed their card on the table, I said I may have screwed this up, and tapped the back of the deck which does not contain their card) and I reach across the table and flip over their card face down. You owe me a beer. (I don't drink). What do you think of my ending?
The trick I showed is a classic card routine, the way it ends can be numerous ways, I'm liking the variation you use, and comical too. Thank you for sharing with other viewers.
Ha! That's amazingly funny. You spend almost 40 seconds explaining that you will give the tik tok crowd a fast explanation. That's my kind of humor. Kudos to you, and Merry Christmas.
You say your tricks are just for the hobbyist/enthusiast, & not at the professional level, but my friend, you're _SMOOOOTH_ in e/aspect...the presentation, *AND* the explanation as well.
The ending I came up with for this effect is to deal the entire pack chaotically face down, keeping track of the position of the thought of card by counting. Bury their card but keep track of one edge. This reveal gets great reactions!
Im a huge fan of self working tricks. Im trying to think of a way to deal out the cards and have it disappear from the stack. Not sure. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Mmmm... Maybe once you have the chosen card in the known middle position, remove a joker card from your pocket (with double sided tape on its back), insert into the packet beneath chosen card. Shuffle cards, saying Joker will Squeal and tell you the card, You remove the Joker (which now has chosen card stuck behind it) hold joker to your ear in a comical way and say he's not got a clue, put him back in your pocket. You can deal cards out and the chosen one is missing. Just a thought, I'm sure you could probably improve the idea. Merry Christmas.
@totallymagic That is a brilliant idea! That will work and very easy to do. I thought cutting the card or shuffling the card to the bottom and go through the cards one by one and drop the last 2 as one. Problem with that is I end dirty and can't clean up very easily. Your idea is much better so thank you and Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Hi Totally Magic, I'm a fan of your channel. Yesterday, i saw a video Andy Gershenzon perform his card trick on Penn and Teller fool us. Do you have some idea about that trick ?

Excellent explanation. "Mixing up" the patter does indeed make it a stronger trick.
That is a great presentation Mark and nice ways of getting the pile in the middle. Merry Christmas to you and your family ♥️🎄🎁✨️🙌😊👍🥃

Mark you could use the Klondike shuffle to leaving you with card, their card 😊
Yes Robert you could use that shuffle. I like this trick as it could be revealed in many different ways.
I love it.
