I agree Kim. Jets are certainly more than just their goaltender. They can roll all 4 lines and for me that’s what’s gonna win them this series. Jets won all 3 regular season games cause they shut down McKinnon. Colorado has never been in a White Out building…..We bring the Noise #SaxSquirtle

Avs are not a 1 line team by any means. maybe not as strong as all 4 lines, but their top 9 is a hella lot stronger than last year
Jets are not just all about their goalie, but without him, they would be just an average team.
@@e-rod1596 Did Hellebuyck score 17 goals against the Avs this season, too? I know he kept the Avs offence to 4 goals … but I didn’t know he was that good! These are both very good teams. For different reasons.

The thing about the Jets this season is their team defence is really good, not just goaltending. If Hellebuyck struggles, they’d need to play Broissoit. Who has a 2.00 GAA and .927 save % this year. Hellebuyck is part of the reason why they gave up the fewest goals in the league this season but only part of it. It’s different from previous years where they were pretty poor defensively but got bailed out by goaltending. Now they’re good defensively and still have the goaltending.
Makes for an interesting series with the best offensive team against the best defensive.
jets in 5, they're kryptonite for the avalanche. jets special teams crushed the avs. in regular season too. brossoit - 23 games .927%. the jets are a complete team that shuts the avalanche down completely.

Been an Av’s fan since they moved to Denver. I’ve seen every game this season. My gut tells me this is going to be a sweep. When Georgiev gives up the first goal on the second or third shot, the team simply doesn’t stand a chance. Georgiev has been consistently giving up the early goal all season long. It is his one constant. He’s very good at that.
The Jets bunch up the blue line and the Av’s are incapable of getting past it. The regular season games mean something. Those games show a deeper, superior team that are going to humiliate the Avalanche, just like the 7-0 drubbing last time the Jets where in Denver.
I can never count the Avs out , but the Jets have owned the Avs this year . Hellebuck will be the determining factor .

@@camwalker1186 totally agree. Defensively they are careless. Turn the puck over way too often. They’re lazy and incompetent. Jets can easily outwork them. Half the time they stand around waiting for the puck to come to them. Get physical with Makar, smash him into the boards a few times and he becomes a non factor. Mess with Manson and he’ll take the stupid penalty. Their PK down the stretch is abysmal.

Jets in 4. Jets are a bigger team, better defence and coaching. Avs have a good first line and then it falls apart from there. Winnipeg is a much deeper team.
Saying Bowness is a better coach than Bednar is laughable. There's a reason he's been an assistant coach for so long.

Remember what the oilers in the late 80s early 90s would do with Tikanen. All they did was maul every teams top line. They did not care if they ever took a shot on goal. Expect that from the Lowery line of the jets

The AVS leaky defense and Georgiev being left to dry due to that isnt giving me high hopes. But if they get to the mentality of wanting the cup, I don't think many teams can stop the avs.

Lot of negativity around the avs. Truth is that these teams have the same problem...consistency. they both lack it, and that is why dallas won the division. Two great teams, different strengths, and both lack consistency. Who was hot the last ten games, or the 10 before that doesnt matter. Who will be hot tomorrow. Could be winnepeg, or colorado, or neither, or both. Ceiling for colorado is way higher, but the floor is lower too. They have to come out hot

Putting this all on Bucky is extremely short sighted. The team defense is everything. All they have to do is shut down one guy and the AVs fold. Winnipeg rolls 4 lines who can all score. Your superstars can’t be on the ice for all shifts.
Eh. The Avs have 13 players with double digit goals. The Avs are deeper than you think. Way deeper. Just haven't been playing like it the last few games. Not like Winnipeg has been the model of consistency either.
@soulknife20 our 4th line has 11 goals each. Not gustavson because barron is out but still. 33 goals 4th line. Almost 50 3rd. That's insane. Those lines go from shutting down to a counter attack in seconds.

So Drouin is out for the first round series. It’s why the Jets rested 7 in a final game that meant nothing. It also gave the scratches and a couple top Moose players a crack at a NHL game. They played them hoping to get them going because they had 7 days off out of the last 10 days of the season. Ur talking about coming into play offs with players who have been in a slouch not playing in about a week. It’s easy to sit here and judge everything but you just never know, also the fact it was a non contact injury is concerning and could have happened anytime during round 1. This might work out if we do get through round one and he’s ready to go in round 2 rather than getting injured in round one and siting in round 2. ?!! U just never know and I can’t judge that decision by Bedsy.
I mean it’s not solely his fault. But like 2/3 of star players sat out game 82 so it’s more than just coincidence. Drouin getting hurt for an entire series is not an inevitability; but I’ve definitely got my fingers crossed for a good outcome. Can’t waste this Mack season, he deserves a couple rounds imo. Being realistic here Jets in 5 or 6 They have the defence and goaltending, offence has been on fire aswell outshooting the Avs 17-4 in the three games.

32 minutes of shit talking jets and sucking off helley. The jets team is a pick your mythotical type of team. Avs are in your face type of team. Almost a even match. Such a hard match for both sides. Morrissey vs makar is gonna be insane, ehlers vs mckinnon speed is insane. I do have to say the avs probably want blood from the 7-0 loss but theyve never been to the whiteout so well see how that goes.

The problem with the avs isn't as much Georgiev as it is the avs smallish D-men. Manson and johnson are the only defensemen the avs have that can move somebody out from in front of the goalie. Makar, teows and Walker are all good D-men offensively and makar and teows are very good defensively too, but they are small and incapable of clearing the front of the net. Girard is just plain tiny by NHL standards, he's a liability on defense and his offense isn't needed with makar teows and Walker on the team. I've been an Avs fan since they were the nordiques but this seems like a jets victory in 6. ←this hurts to admit.
