Vertiginous slopes keep ibex families safe from predators but they need to descend to flat ground to drink and this brings them in contact with a fox. This gives us a spectacular sight of mountain goats (baby ibex) as they scale perilous cliffs to escape a hungry fox.

Funny you said that! I was shocked when I found out that a coyotes diet is 90% veggie. I noticed coyote droppings while hunting. (We have lots of wild Russian Olives 🫒 where I live) I saw nothing but olive seeds in the droppings. No bones. You'd think that there'd at least be some bones from mice and birds. Nope!

I don't know what's more amazing - the ibexes descending down the steep mountain bald rocky slopes with such ease and grace and speed, or the camera person's ability to capture such close and clear camera shots in such a remote and hard to get to location. Both are totally incredible examples of Mother Nature at her best.

Imagine being a Baby Ibex and being a top 50 climber in the world of any species as a baby.
I would think reincarnating to animal would be downgrading. If i had to choose though i would be a tiger or a Lion. Also maybe when people go to hell they get downgraded depending on how bad. The worst people come back as snakes.
Their ability to make a full stop coming down hill is amazing
I think this is a combination of very strong and versatile hooves and a very light body weight. Underneath that hair they are pure muscle, tendon, and bone. No extra weight. You can see how the hooves change directions with the surface shape and inclination. But they must also be relatively light so the friction is enough to keep them in place even on very steep slopes.

Before we made weapons we scavenged and gathered plants and eggs and ate from predators left over carcasses or we scared them off and took them.

The ease and dexterity of these ibex babies is simply awe inspiring, the Ibex along with the Snow lion are the most incredible natural athletes of all species including human.

I've seen some in Gran Paradiso Nat'l Park in Italy just kind of lazily loping along thru a parking lot. I had no idea they had such mastery, and at a month or two old? Damn.
It is very amazing to watch those animals live & survive in such surroundings. How agile they are!

It's unbelievable how sure-footed these young goats are. I guess it's their lightweight also, that gives them wings almost. Defying the pull of the Earth, they can know an unstable spot in advance and yet use it as a transfer to a safer spot. What wise instincts, I'm impressed.
