It’s been 15 years since, I saw Spider-Man 3 and it just horrified me when new goblin blackmail MJ Watson to break up with Peter Parker until symbiote Spider-Man fight Harry.
I know that the actors of deceased characters get older everyday. But it has always stricken me how Norman Osborn/Willem Dafoe gets visibly older with every Spider Man film.
When I was a kid I only had Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 3 on DVD so I never got to experience the masterpiece that is Spider-Man 2, so every time I saw this scene with Harry taking off Peter's mask and Norman screaming Avenge Me! was so weird also I kept wondering how Harry and MJ found out Peter was Spider-Man and the thought of Spider-Man 2 never came into my head.
It's the Goblin serum, it has psychological side effects. It caused Norman to develop a dissociative identity disorder, creating the Green Goblin, and Harry to develop schizophrenia, seeing his father's ghost.
