Blackblade guy vs Mesa Hawk guy. A new rivalry is about to to begin
I can't believe Mesa Falcon guy first badmouthed Blackblade guy and then went on to torture on camera the card he is known for and that his entire channel revolves around. I am shocked and appalled!
A battle for the ages.
If someone wants to do a bend test on my card.... Yeah, the only way I'm letting that happen is if I basically get their stonecold agreement that once it passes, it's theirs now, for a pre-negotiated price. If the test damages it, but it wasn't fake, too bad for them, they bought it.
I think I'd do it the other way around, make them buy/trade for it first with the agreement that if it doesn't pass the bend test then you will reverse the transaction.

There's a guy at my LGS that bought every copy of Colossal Dreadmaw that the store had in stock (~200 copies) and was then known as Colossal Dreadmaw Guy which is way cooler than being Blackblade Guy imo.

Anime Liliana being $3000 is lowkey legit because they did get Yoshitaka Amano out of all people to do it. It’s the Final Fantasy crossover before the actual Final Fantasy crossover lol (really hope they get him back on one of the cards again)
And he did a pretty darn good job of drawing Liliana (if he’s not in the mood you really see it in the art). I was pretty shocked when I saw the card a long time ago just browsing through things. It’s only today that I actually heard the price

I “had” a abzan poison deck. Key wording being had. Played it in my friends group, got mana screwed the whole game but ended up winning against infinite combos and other craziness and the salt was off the chart! I always go into it to have fun and just be chaotic and after that I broke it down because I just didn’t want to deal with the salt.
Recently someone scooped because 3 of us milled half our decks and they thouggt they were behind on lands with edgar markov

This was pre-EDH, but I once sat down with three oaters who all decided to target me after I wet "Island, pass.." They said I was going to counter all their spells.
My mono-blue morph deck did not last long.
20 years ago at my first gaming store, they had a huge statue of Dakon Blackblade. My newb ass had no idea who he was
I love seeing the guy with ketchup and mustard dripping from his mustache and elbow deep in a bag of lays salt and vinegar chips asking people to look at their trade binders.
Someone once showed me his bare bottom after he had lost at a DCI sanctioned tournament, with a word written on it in a permanent marker that I don't want to repeat here.
So he came to the tournament planning to moon someone that beat him in a card game!?

Not MtG, but I had some old YuGiOh cards once upon a time that I was looking to offload and get some pocket change for in high school. I talked to my friend who said that while I didn't have anything super valuable, I had some at-the-time staples that his friend might give me a few bucks for.
Cut to his friend coming in, looking over my pile, and basically bullying me into just giving him my cards in exchange for a few sleeves, as since my cards were from my childhood and thus not sleeved he thought I didn't know how to take care of cards. With how pushy he was I basically just let him take the cards. It wasn't worth it to me to argue, it was clear I wasn't getting anything of value for them, and by that point I just didn't want to deal with them anymore.

Back in my day we made trades through the mail from community forums and boards. I remember some of my biggest trades were the search of a play set of Ertai Wizard adept and Seedborn Muse. Was a really fun Vintage combo. I also had a foil platinum angel I traded for a play set of akroma symbiotic wurm and avatar of woe
Was initially cautious as I mainly watch for your humor and personality and adding new people is an unknown quantity but love these guys and will keep listening. Thanks for introducing me to some new content for my ears.

Actually @CGB - how cool would it be though if instead of that stupid survey at the end of a match, they had a “throw cards” function that would act like the concede button but would show graphics as if you threw your cards and flipped the table? They could still track the use of that button similar to the survey, but would be MUCH more entertaining than the stupid survey. 🤣🤷♂️

I don't know about salt, but I've had a person who was buying a revised Scrubland from me that didn't believe it was a revised Scrub and was saying he was probably going to test if it was real on a live feed but didn't want to pay for it. Basically got it back from him to sell to someone else. That person had no problem getting a verified revised Scrub. I guess some people couldn't tell a revised land from a hole in the ground.

people are so salty....i have a mortal enemy for just removing Swiftfoot Boots during the attempt for equipping it to a Koma on board...he literally flicked me off in an aggressive manner for doing it and no one in the group said a thing about his behavior...

I have definitely had cards that weren't for trade in my binder that i broke down to trade because i was building a deck. I once pulled a stamped wandering emperor from a promo consolation pack cuz the LGS's system broke down. Didnt want to trade it until someone offered it for a fetchland i wanted for commander/modern
I HATE ppl at a prerelease that try to shuffle my deck like a deck of poker cards. If you split it inti two piles and attempt to bend the two and shuffle them into one pile, I will fucking fight.

I'll give some salt!!! Arena already screwing with domain deck after pro tour to make it not play properly. Iv played this deck 92x now and first 40x before Monday deck played extremely smooth then BOOM without changing a single card after Monday now the deck doesn't wanna give green or white mana smoothly so getting beanstalk out on curve or heard migration now puts you back 1 to 2 turns making sunfall not gonna be avail on time Definitely messed with by arena

Wanna talk about salt? I played this against this guy with an annoying as hell mill deck in the late 90s/early 00s. I hated the deck and him so much for playing it. Over 20 years later, we have lots of mutual friends. He sends me friend requests and I keep rejecting them. I'm 20+ years of salty over those games I played with him.
