Nothing to do with accuracy of stories, the clearance simply makes sure they aren't exposing anything that is classified or breaks OpSec, they do not check the facts on who shot who or positions. Equally, someone like Rob is a much better story teller than MB and Robs talks, character etc...definitely does more for recruitment than MB does.

Rob was a legit team six guy and that must be respected. The shooting of OBL is a story that was told that ruined his reputation and he has to live with it. As far as Marcus. So much of the story is bs and unverified. The fact is he truly is the “lone survivor”. How it happened or why it happened can be argued or talked about. I hold the guys in high regard for their service and the fact that just becoming a seal is something that 99.9 percent of people cannot do or do most want to do. Rob went from numbers to colors. That in itself puts him in the 1% of the 1%. Those facts alone should carry some respect. The truth is he was there when the event in question happened. Did he pull the trigger? Doubtful. Now, he should not have said he was the guy if he wasn’t. My question is who told him to do it and why? We know he is shunned by the teams now. All that said. I don’t have to like or believe their stories wholly that made them famous. We can believe the facts.
Has anyone ever thought that these guys all call bullshit on his story because they don't want him to share the story and profit off it. That they are supposed to be quiet professionals so they got together and say he is wrong to harm him from making the money and or fame. Seriously guys think about it. @technom3598 that is definitely something to consider, however both stories have holes in them that have been exposed, moreso Robs, as it is his own stories and versions that contradict themselves more than anything else. That's not to say I don't believe he shot OBL, there are just lots of holes in the story that cause me to question his narrative.
@ExeQtd oh no doubt, but there is a difference between adding little bits for entertainment value and changing facts, adding contradicting detail. That changes the whole story and both can't be true. As an example, Rob says, consistently from when he first came out as the shooter, that no1 man was same throughout until they went up to the bedroom, yet when challenged on one small detail of it, he then says that the point man may have switched. Another example, he says OBL was stood behind his wife holding her as a shield, yet in another telling of it he says OBL stood up when they entered the room...again it can't be both
Is Marcus’s wife on to support him bc of memory deficits? If not, I think it would be better if she was maybe behind the scenes instead of being in front of camera with them. It takes something away from the conversation with the commentary from her sometimes.
I felt the same way at first---her laughter drove me nuts. But I think Marcus does better on the pod with her there. He opens up more. Plus, she has chilled out a bit. So now I like them both as a team.

Hes got an older cousin who was SEAL who was telling him how to manage himself during special operations training. One of them was "Do not thinlk about the whole time youre going to be there life starts get painful there. Just keep going until that next meal. You're gonna earn it right up until you taste it but its actually pretty good and as much as you want in the time allowed. " He was a real SEAL. New Mexico State Police officer now in charge of the dive unit. But apparently didnt kjow shit about the Army or Ranger training other than the only SEALs that go through it is because they fucked up, usually a DUI, and its their last chance to get it together. That Marine Corps will only send their very best to it and there is a long line of them wanting to be chosen. I run into his cousin and he tells me he gets a call from all pissedd off talking about how they're starving him there. Not just him due to not performing, But everyone to the point that MRE's are becoming like cigarettes in prison. So he asks him if thats even legal, then says " well i was in the Navy. Sorry man i just assumed the Army did it the same way". Theb his cousin tells him "We got guys who were fat two weeks ago and now look like someone you can support for just $.69 a day. He told me the only thing his cousin was right about was that a SEAL was in the class before his and was treated like shit while being the top peroformer and kept his mouth shut the whole time. Then two Marines in his class who he and everyone else thought was training staff for the first week ny the way they were treaded.
I remember one of my drill sergeants used to take me to the main post to get ice I would never talk to him. I knew he was doing me a solid letting me see what base life was like listening to music and I wasn't his friend

Multiple SEALS have called him out, he's been disowned by the community to his own word he can't go to the command centre and see the boys and know what's happening anymore they booted him. There was an investigation done by a journalist called Peter Bergen who interviewed 18 DEVGRU guys all of which knew Rob and all of their stories of the raid matched with each other but none with Robs, Bergen's sources even claim in the initial after action report Rob never mentioned firing the fatal shots. Bro even Bin Laden's wife has spoken publicly about that night and her testimony matches with that given to Bergen by the 18 DEVGRU dudes but it didn't match with Robs story. It's literally a joke within the SEALS that Rob shot Bin Laden even Rob and Marcus have fkn joked about saying shit like "every seal shot bin Laden".

This was a total gem 💎, I've never heard of a more detailed account of the pipeline from buds to the teams. This is gonna be a must watch for anyone about to jump on the train !
Mountains in the movie are the Manzanos in New Mexico just outside Albuquerque south of the Sandias. The moutains on the north end of Albuquerque. I live in between the two ranges. They look a lot like the mountains in Afghanistan but Rob is right that they are not even close to being as rough as whats in Afghanistan and Pakistan. I got lost in the Manzanos for three days. Parked my car and took a little hike intending about an hourr or two. My skill level is good enough for that. But it didnt take long for one tree or rock to look like the one i thought it was to guide me back to my car. Only to find out its not and neither are the next ones that i think are the ones. All i had was my lunch, a footlong from subway and a big bag of doritos and my camelback full of water. 2 cans of pepsi, full pack of cigarettes thank god, my knife, little spyderco folder, my 9mm and a spare mag and my surefire ligh. 2 bic lighters to. One for my smokes snd and another I lost a while back. In the pants i happen to be wearing. Went through the washer to bit had dried outa it worked. Because my first one ran out of fuel with me trying to start a fire like an idiot after it ataeted to get dark and cold. It was mid July but i was wearing a t shirt with no jacket. Had good footwear though. No cell phone back then and reception there today is pretty much luck. Didnt tell anyone what i wss doing or where i went. I did start to take it seriously after the first night i spent and started conservre my food, cigs, and water. Large male black bear, big enough to make me feel my 9mm was a bad idea. Owned a Smith & Wesson 6" 357 at the time that i really wished i took instead . Walked right in front of me and didnt even look at me for more than a second. The second night a big cougar did the same thing but even less interested thsn thr bear. But a NMSP officer patrolled through the parking areacanf noticed my car there, then the guy in the next shift logged it. And then the next one on shift. That it hadnt moved. Ran the tags and started investigating. I found the highway eventually but didnt know which one, just that it wasnt I-25 so i was on the side that i came in on. Ended up 14 miles South of where I parked. They got ahold of a giy o worked with after finding out my name eho told them i definitely had a gun on me but a mountain man I was not and that i didnt own any real gear for something like this. So NMSP stepped up the effort to find me. One was driving by so i flagged him down just to ask where i was and that ill leave him alone after that. He didnt even know where we were at. He was pulled in from another patrol district to look for me. But he knew my name and about how long i been out there. So he got on his radio, which had bad reception for a few miles and told evetyone they found me. They were expecting to find me dead lnowing my level of preparation and knowledge. From a self inflicted gunshot wound. I did panic for about 2 hours at first. But i would have a smoke to chill out and avoid rough terrain anf try to enjoy myself while I'm there. Slept real good both nights though and the longer it went on the less it was bothering me. Started to be fun at the end and i was actually a little sad whrn i found the highway. But i only haf one cig left, just ran out of water, and a quarter bag of the doritos.Medics checked me out just to be sure but no issues. The cop that picked me up stopped at a restaurant on the way to my car to bu6 me a nice meal after all that. I insited i pay for all his help because i had $300 in cash on me thay was of no use at all until then. Had $320. But i needed ti start a fire. I was well prepared to be lost in a large city i had no previous knowledge of. One of the K9's ran up to me all happy like he just found me when we got to where my car was. They were just getting ready to track me when they heard i was found. Got the scent off my door handle.So yeah, they are nothing like the mountains in Afghanistan. These are 3 days lost with minimal supplies and knowledge that become kind of fun after a while inhabited by predators that know what an idiot you are.

The part where Rob and Marcus talk about getting out and thinking everyone has your back still took me back. I did two deployments and medically retired but I was injured on my 2nd deployment our first week in country by an IED on a right seat/left seat and MEDVAC'd out of country immediately I never even got half my stuff sent back to me when I was in the hospital. I medically retired before my platoon got back from in country because they got extended in country. When they got back from in country I called a bunch of guys who I had previously deployed with to Iraq and they just did not really want to talk. I made an effort multiple times over a year and call just to catch up but over time I just gave up. I really did not keep up with any of my good buddies I deployed with after that. I was only in the military 3.5 years so I ended up at the same college as two of my buddies from high school then went to do my MBA at a great school and have had a pretty successful career that I could never have fathomed while in the military. I really do not speak to anyone I was deployed with anymore. Randomly a few weeks ago I started having a few guys reach out because they saw a picture of me and another guy we where in Iraq with posted on social media. A few guys reached out wanting to catch up and I just had no desire I remember how they treated me back in 2006 including one who claimed my injuries where not that severe and I could have come back in country.....which is a complete BS statement and not accurate.
Why are they talking about missions ? 5 uncles WWII and Korea. One landed in a higgins boat and one parachuted in on D-Day ,both went survived Bastone to the very end. One was at MidWay , another at Guadelcanal. Then one years later was at the Chosin Reservoir . One uncle did tell me when i seen huge scars on his back . His command was encircled by germans , only way out was a mine field. Him and a couple others survived . He lost a leg to a mine and laud for days . Germans would come thru and bayonet the soldiers laying . If they moved or moaned , shot . Scars on his back looked as if a tractor disced up his back . Never said anymore after that .

So Rob’s name according to Rob was known before he got back from that mission when literally know one knew anything for weeks after about really anything to do with the raid? This all seems a little off to me. Plus his body language when he speaks gets very animated when he speaks about that mission. In interview and interrogation training I went through that a tall tell sign of omissions and/or non-truths. It just happens. It’s an involuntary human response.

@ Marcus reported Axel dead which slowed the rescue to a recovery mission. Axel was found 10 days later and had been dead 1-2 days. He was savable and is the lone survivor. No marcus the lone coward. He said Marcus was not helpful and wouldn’t give any terrain features where his team was and only said they’re all dead. He’s yellow Texan coward and obviously struggles with that. Mountains in the movie are the Manzanos in New Mexico just outside Albuquerque south of the Sandias. The moutains on the north end of Albuquerque. I live in between the two ranges. They look a lot like the mountains in Afghanistan but Rob is right that they are not even close to being as rough as whats in Afghanistan and Pakistan. I got lost in the Manzanos for three days. Parked my car and took a little hike intending about an hourr or two. My skill level is good enough for that. But it didnt take long for one tree or rock to look like the one i thought it was to guide me back to my car. Only to find out its not and neither are the next ones that i think are the ones. All i had was my lunch, a footlong from subway and a big bag of doritos and my camelback full of water. 2 cans of pepsi, full pack of cigarettes thank god, my knife, little spyderco folder, my 9mm and a spare mag and my surefire ligh. 2 bic lighters to. One for my smokes snd and another I lost a while back. In the pants i happen to be wearing. Went through the washer to bit had dried outa it worked. Because my first one ran out of fuel with me trying to start a fire like an idiot after it ataeted to get dark and cold. It was mid July but i was wearing a t shirt with no jacket. Had good footwear though. No cell phone back then and reception there today is pretty much luck. Didnt tell anyone what i wss doing or where i went. I did start to take it seriously after the first night i spent and started conservre my food, cigs, and water. Large male black bear, big enough to make me feel my 9mm was a bad idea. Owned a Smith & Wesson 6" 357 at the time that i really wished i took instead . Walked right in front of me and didnt even look at me for more than a second. The second night a big cougar did the same thing but even less interested thsn thr bear. But a NMSP officer patrolled through the parking areacanf noticed my car there, then the guy in the next shift logged it. And then the next one on shift. That it hadnt moved. Ran the tags and started investigating. I found the highway eventually but didnt know which one, just that it wasnt I-25 so i was on the side that i came in on. Ended up 14 miles South of where I parked. They got ahold of a giy o worked with after finding out my name eho told them i definitely had a gun on me but a mountain man I was not and that i didnt own any real gear for something like this. So NMSP stepped up the effort to find me. One was driving by so i flagged him down just to ask where i was and that ill leave him alone after that. He didnt even know where we were at. He was pulled in from another patrol district to look for me. But he knew my name and about how long i been out there. So he got on his radio, which had bad reception for a few miles and told evetyone they found me. They were expecting to find me dead lnowing my level of preparation and knowledge. From a self inflicted gunshot wound. I did panic for about 2 hours at first. But i would have a smoke to chill out and avoid rough terrain anf try to enjoy myself while I'm there. Slept real good both nights though and the longer it went on the less it was bothering me. Started to be fun at the end and i was actually a little sad whrn i found the highway. But i only haf one cig left, just ran out of water, and a quarter bag of the doritos.Medics checked me out just to be sure but no issues. The cop that picked me up stopped at a restaurant on the way to my car to bu6 me a nice meal after all that. I insited i pay for all his help because i had $300 in cash on me thay was of no use at all until then. Had $320. But i needed ti start a fire. I was well prepared to be lost in a large city i had no previous knowledge of. One of the K9's ran up to me all happy like he just found me when we got to where my car was. They were just getting ready to track me when they heard i was found. Got the scent off my door handle.So yeah, they are nothing like the mountains in Afghanistan. These are 3 days lost with minimal supplies and knowledge that become kind of fun after a while inhabited by predators that know what an idiot you are.

The part where Rob and Marcus talk about getting out and thinking everyone has your back still took me back. I did two deployments and medically retired but I was injured on my 2nd deployment our first week in country by an IED on a right seat/left seat and MEDVAC'd out of country immediately I never even got half my stuff sent back to me when I was in the hospital. I medically retired before my platoon got back from in country because they got extended in country. When they got back from in country I called a bunch of guys who I had previously deployed with to Iraq and they just did not really want to talk. I made an effort multiple times over a year and call just to catch up but over time I just gave up. I really did not keep up with any of my good buddies I deployed with after that.
I was only in the military 3.5 years so I ended up at the same college as two of my buddies from high school then went to do my MBA at a great school and have had a pretty successful career that I could never have fathomed while in the military. I really do not speak to anyone I was deployed with anymore. Randomly a few weeks ago I started having a few guys reach out because they saw a picture of me and another guy we where in Iraq with posted on social media. A few guys reached out wanting to catch up and I just had no desire I remember how they treated me back in 2006 including one who claimed my injuries where not that severe and I could have come back in country.....which is a complete BS statement and not accurate.

One was at MidWay , another at Guadelcanal. Then one years later was at the Chosin Reservoir . One uncle did tell me when i seen huge scars on his back . His command was encircled by germans , only way out was a mine field. Him and a couple others survived . He lost a leg to a mine and laud for days . Germans would come thru and bayonet the soldiers laying . If they moved or moaned , shot . Scars on his back looked as if a tractor disced up his back . Never said anymore after that .

So Rob’s name according to Rob was known before he got back from that mission when literally know one knew anything for weeks after about really anything to do with the raid? This all seems a little off to me. Plus his body language when he speaks gets very animated when he speaks about that mission. In interview and interrogation training I went through that a tall tell sign of omissions and/or non-truths. It just happens. It’s an involuntary human response.
