Hairpin bend accidents occur mostly because of the driver unable to see the vehicle coming from the opposite sides of the road curves. I wouldn't say its one of the award winning project, cause see the power generation thing you have made, works only for the vehicles moving at one particular direction and you can generate it for two side moving vehicles.
The hill traffic management system has some issues, if vehicles come from both the sides, then you will get red light indication which forces both the vehicles to stop and they have to keep looking at the others to pass whereas the traffic lights will show red.
Try rectifying these issues and I m sure this would take you way ahead
