Thank you Friedberg for reminding us of the importance of treating others with love and kindness, even if those others are pigs. It may not seem as important as the other issues discussed here, but ultimately, maybe it's the most important point of all. Cruelty in any form should upset us.

But there are plenty of American companies that are involved in factory-farming too. I wonder why he decided to highlight a Chinese company that operates in China and supplies pork to a Chinese market? Why not mention a US company that is engaging in factory farming? It would have been more effective since listeners of the pod could avoid the product, if they choose to. It seemed like empty virtue signaling to me.

friedberg is a good man, fundamentally. the amount of misery experienced in those just few buildings, is unfathomable. it is most pain that exists in many wars, in a single week. friedberg, the world, or life, or god, or goodness, or whatever it is, has a plan for you. these could be the words of a fool. but search yourself. open yourself to seeing those small coincidences. bless, brother

What about the ARC (Alliance for Responsible Citizens) Party? The idea of a party for the ppl would really resonate today I think.

Agree with Jason, Succession finale was 👌. Great show. Feels complete. Agree with Zacks that Daniel Davis/Deep Dive is one of the best podcasts regarding foreign policy.

Friedberg didn't deserve to be laughed at. I think his pig farm statement was noble and worthy - and I ate bacon yesterday so I'm no vegan activist, just a guy who hears when we should do better.

I like the idea of a third party like "The One Party," which emphasizes unity and collaboration above all else. In this party, our differences are seen as strengths that can help us achieve common goals for the benefit of all.

Sorry, but that is a horrible name 😂
Unless you're actually advocating for a one party system of course

@@johannakoo1657 When considering the name "The One Party" for a third-party, it's important to note that the term "one" can symbolize unity and a singular focus on collective welfare rather than division. The concept doesn't advocate for a one-party system but rather emphasizes the idea of unity among diverse perspectives.
In this context, "The One Party" suggests a coming together of individuals with different ideologies under a shared vision for the common good. It doesn't imply a single-party dominance but rather a collaborative approach where differences are respected and leveraged to address societal challenges.
Addressing your comment respectfully, you can explain that the name "The One Party" reflects a desire for unity and cooperation among different viewpoints, rather than advocating for a one-party system. Emphasize that the name is symbolic of inclusivity and working together, which can be a powerful message in today's polarized political climate. By uniting under a common banner, diverse voices can work together more effectively to address the complex issues facing society.

Currently, I have a lot on my plate and am unable to commit to any additional projects at this time. However, I appreciate your consideration and hope that there might be an opportunity to collaborate in the future when my schedule allows.

I would love to have Lila Rose on one of your podcasts. As a young voter and a woman I think its important to represent both sides of the issue. Especially when life is on the line.
