- State prosecutor Elizabeth Jones Brown delivered the closing argument against Brice Rhodes in the triple murder trial on Monday afternoon. Jones Brown reviewed evidence shown throughout the trial, and emphasized the importance of it all. “Obviously the defense does not want you to trust them,” Jones Brown said when recounting the defense’s opening statement. Rhodes is accused of killing three people in May of 2016, two of which were minors. If convicted, he could face life behind bars.

My heart goes out to the three deceased young men families to the two young men testifying. I do need the prosecutor to add B12 for energy and a probiotics to her daily routine.
God the prosecutor is so flat and dry. Thank goodness the evidence was able to speak for itself
you get the sense she thought the jury might not be equipped to deal with the legal parts who knows maybe it was a bunch a bumpkins or something lol
She is definitely not convincing. She seems very tired.
Worst closing ever
😂😂😂
This Prosecutor shouldnt do closings, she is not convincing and repeatedly says " I dont know how.... dont know why? These are doubtful remarks and should never be used. Take some hints from the Prosecution closing, so convincing, so powerful, ven though all odds are against him.
Do u mean take some hints from defence and not prosecution?
@@m1ssjuju ... yes you are right I messed up. I meant defense.
This is so true. She was not convincing.
When you treat children badly they often grow up to be monsters. When will society realize the importance of this?
I think she did a fine job. It’s not Broadway, she doesn’t need to be high energy. She laid out the facts in a morbid, harrowing, disgusting case.
I don't know what to think about these Attorneys for both sides, we're So Terrible ❗Did They just get out of School
They're probably very good attorneys, just godawful orators.
Seems like thee entire court room did even the judge
terrible lawyers in this one. It's like they had a spot clinched, and just sent the 3rd stringers in.
It was no thanks to either the defence nor the state's closing arguments that the jury came back with the result they did. Justice will never be served regardless, but at least the public will be safe from him as he'll be among his own kind in prison, although I did notice his shaking hand, rapid eye blinking and repeated swallowing as the jury's decision was about to be delivered, so he was clearly affected.
As a society, we learn very little. People like Brice would not be the people they are if it were not for a lack of parental responsibility and accountability, we only have to look at the dead boys' mother to see an example of that, as well as Brice himself. We have societies that laud 'gangsta' culture. When my own lad was growing up, I knew each and every friend he had, he was not allowed to run the streets, he had youth clubs or did activities and I could account for every moment he was out of the house and I worked - I worked during school hours, I was also a single parent so life was hard as there was very little money, but I made it work. People make too many excuses for their neglect of their children, we have choices in life, if the kids run the streets it's b/c the parents can't be bothered and are more focused on their own selfishness instead of parenting their children. Most criminals are no longer afraid of going to prison as such, that's b/c what they are being removed from is often far worse. This will only change when we acknowledge on a legal standing that children aren't a parent's possession, they are human beings and need to be nurtured.
Well said. And the means to actively nurture them must exist, be possessed by each and every parent. The means are money, education, and time.
@@kevinhornbuckle Yes, very much so. It's alarming how many children are home 'schooled' and yet, have no set construct of education. I've seen what I would consider feral children running riot that are supposedly being home schooled, even at the age of 7/8 they are borderline illiterate. Children's minds are little sponges, they are so quick to learn/adapt, it's crucial they are given a loving foundation, stability and educated.
I agree. If we deep dived into their backgrounds starting from their young upbringing we would see lost souls looking for love, security and acceptance. So sad on all levels.
Healthy, loving families foster strong and healthy communities, strong communities foster strong cities, strong countries and a strong world.
@@carlyD123 Immensely sad, and I'd have been surprised had he not matured into the person he is now given the parental and state failures as a collective. Too many kids end up like Brice.
Why would their mom address them instead of taking that information to the police or just keeping quiet.. sad all the way around.. my baby brother was killed at 17yrs old by a 19yr old. That 19yr old killed 3 people and end up getting killed 3months and 20 days after her killed my brother.. it is not a game out here. Once you get taken out It's not Mario you dont have an extra life!
Good job prosecutor! Talk to me like I’m 5 years old!! No reason for all the Hoopla just straight facts!
I would never hire the defense. She literally had a cake walk to get the empathy and compassion of the jury. She sounded unsure and basic. All those years of law school and this it. horrible
These kid not lying, their statement are the same, this makes me cry uncontrollable; these kid are in this situation because of lack of love, parental guidance, just the basic of life for a normal kids, shame on the parents and mostly this satan of a man
What happened to his head 😮
I’ll never put my life in her hands😵💫
3:16 wth is on the back of his head?
Somebody said psoriasis 🥴
I was thinking the same thing
A bandaid 😂
Wow, I think you got it, lol. I keep thinking what's this lump under the bandage? @KatieNicole02
This was hard to listen to both audibly and her execution... and I had it on 1.5x speed.
How could this lady be a prosecutor, so weak and effective. Loke she telling a story to a child. How did she made this far as a lawyer
Brice is a monster. Cleary he manipulated to took advantage of these young boys
What city, state was this?
Louisville, Kentucky
If so was a lawyer , probably they would try to get me out as I would win ever single case especially one like this. This Bryson if a guy is doomed anyway all the evidence is there
Wow 😢
What’s “commonwealth” v. Brice Rhodes
The prosecutor keeps putting me to sleep. I think this is the first murder case where the prosecutor is so chiiiiiiiiilllllllll.
I really hope they didn’t show the dead bodies on the screen! 54:27
Awful female prosecutor closing. So, boring! Thank goodness for those witnesses testimony or Bryce Rhodes would have walked.
No way he would have walked . This case has been prolonged because he keeps firing his "public defenders ' which is free . He knows he I done . ✔️ but she does need to add coincide to her ending
This prosecutors close is awful. It’s not complicated.. you are literally talking in circles.
Not really it's laid out pretty well. Testimony, forensics, video evidence. It's how the prosecution is supposed to present their case.
@@MidnightMemes88 eesh. I thought her execution was terrible. It was hard to listen to. She used a lot of doubtful statements. Just her presentation was awful. Just my opinion. I’m not saying she didn’t lay the facts put but she talks with a lot of uncertainty and her description of wanton was ROUGH. It felt incredibly circular and overly complicated. Not a great presentation IMO.
Respectfully disagree. Small town jury! And she broke it down uncomplicated
Why did he kill the brothers again? They told their mom that Bryce "wasn't bout it"? About what
Snitching(telling that he killed someone.)
