Using the exact same Wi-Fi and I’ve never had this many issues with my PS4 connecting and staying connected to it. Yet my PS5 damn near every keeps getting disconnected or some corny PSN connection issue.

Thank you Mate! I have been struggling for 2 hours on why my internet kept saying bad signal and me messing around with the modem. Turns out all I had to do was go into the safe mode like you said and reset default settings and now everything works perfect. Such a easy fix 😅😂

Then I restart ps5 and it works again for 5-10min and then I can’t connect to any wifi. Restart and there it says ps5 can’t connect to ipv6 server. Lmao I’m so angry man

For me, nothing fixed my connection issue until I tried your advice on changing the primary and secondary dns servers before ultimately restoring default settings in safe mode, as you suggested. I was having the same problem I but I fixed mines what I did was power down my ps5 then unplugged the whole thing out of the outlet and out the ps5 and left it unplugged for the night the next day before plugging it back up and turning it on I went to my wifi box pressing the wsp bottom and then pressed the reset button it’s a little red button on the back after that u turn my game on and it was working
None of these worked for me but I finally found out what I really had to do! So if your using a Wi-Fi access point such as a hotspot device or like a Google nest or whatever type of router your using , you’ll have to login to your Wi-Fi account for example I’m using a Google nest so I had to download the google home app in order to manage my router and then after that you have to manage all the devices connected to your network under the setting and somewhere under that list you’ll see your ps5 and you have to unblock it from your router idk why but for some reason it automatically blocked my ps5 from being connected to my Wi-Fi and I’m just now noticing it

I just came across this issue today! I got a playstation today (4-23-23). I had just opened it and noticed I couldn't connect to the internet. All other devices connect to the internet just fine no issues. The only thing I can really do is connect it to mobile hotspot and I had tried everything. Resetting the router, factory reset, manually putting the wifi info in, ect. For anyone else having this issue and got it to work please let me know! Thanks

Edit: if you have multiple accounts you will need to reset them, i have a sibling who lost her phone thankfully the verification went to mine and i was able to get everything back

my problem was everything was working except for a specific router even though it worked for my modem and other routers so i troubleshooted this for about 5 hours resetted my modem, router even called a IP address technician. even tried changing subnet mask, proxy, dhcp. nothing worked. thank you so much man .

Press pause on your wifi, change your wifi frequency bands to 2.4, forget your wifi, reconnect with your password. Boom it works, but it will not let me switch back to 5 without it messing up again so I do not know how long until I can switch back

The same here, even with lan cable doesnt do anything, probem occurs after updating software... Is it software bugs or something else? But if i use my phone as a hot spot it will connect immediatly..., then i change to my wifi router again... Its still connected.?? ...though internet connection status still failed on the router wifi... My online status is on, i can play the game online, i can watch youtube, ps store online, ican download the game, but if i run netwok test i can get my ip address but my internet connection still Failed, even though like that i still can play online games...., so i think is the ps5 software bug on the refreshing cache connection, sony should take care this issues immediatly on next software updates, note*my internet connection on the same network with other gadget is working just fine,my fone is working, my laptop is working, my pc is working, even my ps4 is working fine??! I have issues with my connection too. What seems to work is unplugging the PS5 AC plug for a few seconds then putting it back. Works for some reason. Gonna try a LAN cable but the router isn't mine, 😂.
Heck, it stops even picking up any WiFi signals. So weird. But, unplugging it does work for now.

Safe mode helped me this guy is on top I mainly recommend you to do the safe mode first
And do both of the steps he told you to do and it works
