- In this video my friend Martina and I set out on a 3 night/4 day trip in the absolutely stunning Indian Peaks Wilderness. The Indian Peaks Wilderness is located in Colorado's Rocky Mountains not far from Rocky Mountain National Park. Neither of us had ever backpacked here and we both were blown away by the beauty. Fall was getting started transforming the forest in vibrant color. We hike up to the beautiful alpine lakes...Mirror Lake and Crater Lake (making camp at Crater Lake for 2 of our 3 nights) with amazing views of Lone Eagle Peak. Join us!

Another beautiful adventure, Catherine! You do a wonderful job capturing the beautiful scenery along the trail, the stunning waterfalls & fall color! We ordered a Lance travel trailer in February, we can’t wait to begin our adventure.
Just when one thinks your adventures can't get any more stunning, they do, along with more great music. I want to say that given the fact that my husband no longer can walk, & I am scheduled for a hip replacement in 2 1/2 weeks, being able to virtually hike with you means so much to us. The 20 to 30 minutes of watching these videos helps relieve some of the pain. Thank you, & please know that what you do helps so many of us experience what we physically cannot. :)

I always backpacked with sticks like Martina-just felt natural. I've done this hike as well and boy what memories! Sunday morning and Catherine's vids-doesn't get much better than that!

The Indian Peaks wilderness area is second to none in the front range.
I did this hike in 2006. Start off at Monarch Lake, go to Cascade Falls, then to Mirror Lake then on to Crater Lake. Happy time.
What I like is, unlike some of the other female presenters in this niche of TH-cam, she doesn't sell profanity in thumbnails

Indian peaks are a hidden gem.
When you walk into/through these amazing places, do you ever find your eyes tearing up? These places are so precious and awe-inspiring. Just watching this video, I found my own eyes tearing up and I wasn’t even there!!! Thanks for sharing and inspiring, @Catherine Gregory.

That was a great hiking adventure. I decided to get up to Crater Lake and enjoyed it thoroughly with all of the water falls, low elevation per mile gain and amazing weather. It was like hiking into a hidden world with all that scenery and skinny dippers at Crater Lake.
I hiked up in there fifty years ago and had the entire area all to myself.

WOW! looking at some of those mountain peaks, one would think your on a different planet. loved the far shots of your camp. those falls, (gold) just absolutely awesome. i had to watch most of this video again, just to decide what impressed me the most. ha! besides the entire video, i really can't come up with any one scene. the different far shots of camp was just so comforting, peaceful, almost being like home in the forest. until next time God Bless, be safe.

Growing up in Lakewood Colorado Rocking Mountain National Park is not that far from my childhood and man it was always a special day to go, Of course I have been there many times! Thank you for your video's .
You have such an amazing eye for color and composition and for me to say this is your best work to date is difficult. I will say todays video ranks at the top of everything you have done so far. The opening sequence was fantastic. I am always eager for next installments.

Cat! My husband has gone crazy, well, only because I watch your channel & tell him about the various places you have gone & how much I want do the same. We live in the western part of Texas,so pretty in the spring but yet, no mountains & lakes very close to us. Palo Duro Canyon is 4 hours away. Beautiful but you topped it with the views you just witnessed. God is certainly an artist never to be out done! Thanks for the adventure!!
