Wow, I can practically feel the excitement rushing through my veins as I watch the hikers embark on their 3-day adventure. Cascade Canyon, Alaska Basin, Teton Crest Trail, and Death Canyon - these names bring back a flood of memories and emotions. The breathtaking landscapes showcased in this video remind me of the sheer beauty and vastness of nature. The towering mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and lush forests are sights that truly leave you in awe. I remember the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that washed over me with every step I took along those challenging terrains. Thank you for sharing this incredible experience. Keep adventuring and sharing your amazing journeys with the world!

As a non American, US National Park is just another level. Yosemite and Zion have been in my bucket list for years (I love mountains and rock formations). I hope I can visit them before I turned 50!

Great job capturing the beauty of your route. It really gives a feel for the variety of terrain and the magnificent views. Of course, the explosion of wildflower color didn't hurt either. Wow! Thanks for adding the map route segments for those of us using videos like these for research and future trip planning, and letting the sounds of nature provide the soundtrack.

Nice video. The pack: since the mouse or whatever only ate the right side, I'd say your probably right handed and ate something with oil or sugar in it and it got onto the pack from your hands. Then the critter ate whatever it coudl get from the cloth and dug at it to see if there was food inside the strap. Its best to hang or bear bin the whole bag. I put mine in my tent and the mice usually try to dig right through the tent to get at my pack unless I throw some clothes over the pack. In more risky areas i hang my bag in a tree. That bag tho, ha ha. Its gotta be like 40 years old. Time for a new one anyways. Lol

Now ‘this’ is almost the perfect, no background music, just ‘nature’ at it’s very best. I said ‘almost’ perfect as I am a slow hiker constantly stopping to enjoy and identify the wildflowers on the way, you show and display some on your journey. I believe that first flower is Rosebay Willow-herb, but not sure. Admiring the utter majesty of the landscape is one thing, beautiful, but take note of the botany beside you.

I love that there is little speaking, maps used to see where you are, and where you will proceed, where camping spots are, and pointing out the specific features that hikers want to see and know about. I hope you continue this venture with other parks. And I hope u have your bear spray ready! ❤️💕♥️

Wonderful, thank you so much. Loved the amazing wildflower bloom. So glad this area has been preserved as a National Park, what a treasure. Out of curiosity, why is it called Death Canyon. I was last up in Wyoming in 2012, did some minor hikes in the Teton area, also rode my bicycle along a bike trail from the visitors center to what I believe was Jenny Lake. This video brought back some treasured memories. Again thank you so much.

Hello. Very nice video. brought back many memories. I spent 6 years working as a Park Ranger in Grand Teton and hiked this loop many times in both directions. Wonderful backcountry.
So glad you enjoyed it and shared your experience with others. The damage to the backpack shoulder straps and chest straps was likely done by marmots. They were probably attracted by salt from sweat on harnesses. Best to hang packs at night and any time away from them if left in camp for any time. Thanks again for sharing your adventure. Stay safe and enjoy life.

@@petermccall8975 Travelled this route both on and off duty, to inspect trail work, plan rehab of backcountry campsites, perform rescues and evacuations, met with backcountry patrol rangers, complete off trail recons to familiarize with various sections of park. Always to appreciate and protect the beauty of this wonderful park. Someone asked what degree is helpful in preparing to seek an NPS career. The National Park Service manages areas representing such a diverse natural, historical and cultural American heritage, people with all types of educational backgrounds and skills are needed, however, I would recommend completing at least a B.S. degree in a field such as Natural Resources, Biology, Fish and Wildlife, Geology, Forest Resources, or Park and Recreation Resources if your goal is to work in large, natural area, national parks. Being able to work effectively with people from all backgrounds is also very important. Education, training and background in law enforcement or criminal justice may be helpful if your goal is to work in resource and visitor protection fields. A desire to help and serve others is an essential quality to being successful as a park ranger. I personally found it an extremely rewarding experience .

My guess is a porcupine rather than a marmot as porcupines are mostly nocturnal while marmots are diurnal. Like Marmots they are also attracted to the salt from sweat. They like to lick rocks or eat mud that contains Halite. Not only have they chewed on my pack, they've also gnawed on the handles of my hiking poles during the night. I've been on this trail many times and have talked to the rangers at the Death Canyon patrol cabin and they mentioned many hikers encountering porcupines during the night.
