Hulk shouldn't have ever lost to Thanos like he did in Infinity War. I realize they needed him to lose for the movie, but they should have had Thanos need to use the power and space stone. That would be the only way Thanos would even stand a chance against the Hulk. And some versions of Hulk in the comics might even overpower the Power Stone.

The Hulk's size has never been consistent and also changes size when he shifts personalities.There are more in there than Hulk, Banner and Professor Hulk.

And that applies not just to Hulk, but most of the high-end characters. Wanda's hex affected a town, not the entire world.
Even in the comics, Professor Hulk was just as massive as most other incarnations. There's no reason to Nerf him. Being huge and smart made him a better character.
The 2003 Hulk movie was pretty accurate from a strength standpoint (throwing a tank for miles) but the growing was not accurate. Comic book Hulk's size does not increase with anger, just his strength. Marvel's own official references state this clearly.

While they have varied in strength and size (and of course different artists have drawn Hulk as larger or smaller) all except one of those Hulk versions remained the same size after the transformation from Banner completed, no matter how enraged or strong they became. There was one version that physically grew bigger with anger- the completely mindless Hulk that existed briefly after the original Secret Wars in the mid 1980s. But that was a one-off for a specific storyline that hasn't reappeared since. The Official Handbook of The Marvel Universe entry for Hulk states: "In time of stress as the Hulk, his epenephrine level escalates once again, causing a corresponding escalation in strength. This is not accompanied by an additional mass gain gain. I agree with you about Nortons Hulk. I always thought that was the best on screen version of him, but this has nothing to do with immasculating or Disney anything. It's actually comic book accurate canon. Hulks' power and size are 100% dependent on his anger. The more he becomes a calmer, more rational being, the weaker and smaller her becomes. That's literally just how his powers work. That's how they have always worked.

I liked Professor hulk. It amazed me how they made Bruce Banner low looks so normal in his hulk form. It really was the best of both worlds for him…but original angry hulk will always be awesome

A very good explanation but, to my mind not entirely plausible. Now while in the movies the creators have artistic freedom of sorts, in the comic series when we see the very beginning of Hulk, he went through various changes and got bigger and stronger. There is an evolutionary process in the comics as opposed to the movies. But that's just me.

I get why people don't like the newer version of hulk. But I don't mind it because it's a representation of Bruce's evolution and ultimate control over himself throughout the mcu. I enjoy it.

Angry Hulk is just iconic. Professor Hulk is both brains and brawn. However, Hulk only having strength and anger is what allowed for a team for make up for the qualities that he lacks. I miss the older Avengers team as a whole.

Actually the Ang Lee movie was NOT comic accurate. It's true that some Hulk personas are bigger and have higher baseline strength than others. But in general Hulk's size doesn't increase with anger, just his strength.

Hulk is supposed to get bigger and stronger the more angrier he becomes. He is indestructible in the original comics. He can eventually become as a planet, with so much mass he creates gravity.
Here’s why, according to Marvel hulk gets more bigger and stronger the more angrier he gets, since Bruce can finally control hulks anger it make his less angrier, therefore he shrinks.
Hulk needs to return to the original hulk days I think they should give banner the ability to lose control per se and give hulk the full benefit of his powers.

Smart hulk has had various forms over the years in the comics as well. It's a well knwon part of his power set that his level of anger directly influences his size - and this has been seen in all of his past smart forms too. When he needs extra power for something, he allows himself to get angrier, and once again gets larger. This has been seen in comic versions of professor hulk, doc green, doc fixit, maestro, and more. This is faithful to the aource material. The real issue is that he hasn't had any solo titles since the mcu became the mcu. His chances to shine come in team movies, where he had to share the screen. I think giving banner/hulk solo movies again, or maybe a solo show, would solve this.

I agree with you about Nortons Hulk. I always thought that was the best on screen version of him, but this has nothing to do with immasculating or Disney anything. It's actually comic book accurate canon. Hulks' power and size are 100% dependent on his anger. The more he becomes a calmer, more rational being, the weaker and smaller her becomes. That's literally just how his powers work. That's how they have always worked.

Right on Hulk's strength having no upper limited but wrong on size. In the comics the angrier Hulk gets, the STRONGER he gets. Contrary to popular belief, his size does NOT increase. Marvel even states this in their official handbook.
Some Hulk personas are larger than others but he normally doesn't grow bigger with anger. The 2003 Hulk movie showed that happening and casual moviegoers thought that's how it worked in the comics, but it doesn't. Just like Spider-Man having organic webs instead of web shooters in the Tobey MaGuire movies.
The only version of Hulk that got bigger with rage was the completely mindless Hulk who existed for a short time following the original Secret Wars in the 1980s. That Hulk grew bigger but the others don't. Savage Hulk (Green), Joe Fixit (Gray), World War Hulk, Professor Hulk, Doc Green, Devil Hulk, Worldbreaker Hulk, Green Scar, Immortal Hulk, Maestro- all of them get stronger with rage, none of them change size.

However, Marvel says that once transformed, the Hulk's strength increases as he gets angrier, but his size does not. It's directly stated in their own published Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
Like the character himself says - "the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets".. not bigger.

A very good explanation but, to my mind not entirely plausible. Now while in the movies the creators have artistic freedom of sorts, in the comic series when we see the very beginning of Hulk, he went through various changes and got bigger and stronger. There is an evolutionary process in the comics as opposed to the movies. But that's just me.

I get why people don't like the newer version of hulk. But I don't mind it because it's a representation of Bruce's evolution and ultimate control over himself throughout the mcu. I enjoy it.

Angry Hulk is just iconic. Professor Hulk is both brains and brawn. However, Hulk only having strength and anger is what allowed for a team for make up for the qualities that he lacks. I miss the older Avengers team as a whole.

There have been some 12-13 different versions or personas of Hulk over the years, and only ONE increased in size with anger. That was the completely mindless Hulk who existed for a short time after the original Secret Wars in the 1980s. That's the lone exception- every other Hulk stayed the same size after the transformation from Banner completed. When Hulk fights opponents larger than himself like Wendigo and Sasquatch, getting enraged doesn't cause him to grow 3-4 feet to match or excced their size.
For 98 percent of his history getting angrier increases Hulk's strength, but not his size. The Official Handbook of The Marvel Universe directly states this about Hulk.

Actually the Ang Lee movie was NOT comic accurate. It's true that some Hulk personas are bigger and have higher baseline strength than others. But in general Hulk's size doesn't increase with anger, just his strength.

Smart hulk has had various forms over the years in the comics as well. It's a well knwon part of his power set that his level of anger directly influences his size - and this has been seen in all of his past smart forms too. When he needs extra power for something, he allows himself to get angrier, and once again gets larger. This has been seen in comic versions of professor hulk, doc green, doc fixit, maestro, and more. This is faithful to the aource material. The real issue is that he hasn't had any solo titles since the mcu became the mcu. His chances to shine come in team movies, where he had to share the screen. I think giving banner/hulk solo movies again, or maybe a solo show, would solve this.
