When he says "I won't stop even if they mock me", you can see the dancers pointing at him, judging him, referring to how people perceive him and the narratives they constantly impose or project on him and him basically saying no matter what you say, I'll keep shining. "Fly away, butterfly Finally free" He is ready to fly. The butterfly lyric mirrored in this effortlessly smooth and sexy move and the fact that he is flanked by two female dancers here just accentuates his appeal. He is lifted up by the throng and here people have noted the parallels to Lie and it is calming to think that Set Me Free Pt 2 resolves and brings closure to the emotions that inspired that song. In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else. In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free. I would say the song has the energy of a light in the darkness. I wanted to express that kind of picture everyone has in their head - a ray of light coming into the darkness is the only thing you can see. If I had to say specific colors, I’d say black and white." Jimin is one of the members who have the most haters, he got death threats and was ignored by a lot of fans, and everyone mocked his personality and voice and said he wasn't even a guy, many demanded to be removed from the group, the company tried to remove him 8 times, he passed out a lot after Performance or during training, he changed his appearance a lot. At first, they wanted him to have a manly image and to be the bad boy of the group. He followed a strict diet and workout , and got a muscular body at the age of no more than 17 years. After that, it was said that he was fat and short, and his appearance did not correspond to The rest of the members he went on a harsh diet for the second time (one meal for every 10 days) and continued to abuse him however, today I look at him with tears in my eyes all the losers can do is try to smash the winners, sorry for my bad language 💗😭.
I'm aware and I hate it! being an army for almost 6 years I've seen it all 🙃 its so bizarre to me cause Jimin is literally an amazing human being by what we've seen on like run bts or interviews and every famous person that has met him/and bts always say how lovely they are, this song truly was about him setting himself free and he did do that and we've always got his back!

And it’s not like we don’t know the meaning behind it (for one it’s symbolic and on the other hand the info about the poem was spread very quickly so it wasn’t hard to search it up). Maybe he liked the poem and respectfully choose to use it in it’s original form and not have it translated or modified in any way. 🤷♀️ BTS has always included multiple languages in their songs and MV’s. For example, they used the german language for art in other songs already. (Blood, Sweat & Tears, Dope) And there are many more examples with other languages as well. So it’s not uncommon or sudden to see a different language in their MVs (and Songs). And their concepts also often come from different countries or rather from different people in different countries. BTS has a whole team to search for inspiration and they are not only looking for content in one specific language. That would be very stupid because you would exclude tons of awesome content. And maybe it wasn’t even their team, with the amount of literature Namjoon reads, he easily could have stumbled upon the poem himself 😉.
