That is SO AWESOME!!!!!! These kinds of gifts really make a huge difference. I've always loved reading but I am chronically ill and severely disabled and as I got older reading instead of being my escape from pain and having the ability to read a book a day reading became something my illness took from me because a combination of pain and nerve tremours made holding and reading physical books incredibly difficult and I was devastated. Then when I was 16, after a year of struggling my grandma got me an audible subscription and to this day it remains the greatest present I ever received. She gave me books back. She gave me the thing I loved most in a fomat that was accessible to my current abilities and she gave it without judgement for not being able to do it the "real" way anymore. If you have disabled loved ones, get them accessible gifts like these. It genuinely means the the world and it shows is just how much you understand and care.
Audiobooks are real books! The only time I would make a difference is when someone is learning to read or learning a language, because audiobooks and printed books train different language skills.
I'm severely disabled too, when lost arm/hand function and couldn't hold books anymore, I lost one of my only escapes which was reading. Soon after, my best friend bought me a kindle and a clicker thing that I can control with a button that turns the pages! I can rig up the button to be pressed by my head etc, it made me cry with joy the first time I tried it!! Books are amazing in any form :) digital or paper
Way before there were online audio books, my grandmother couldn't hold a book and turn the pages, let alone read them. Back then, once she was registered as blind one of the services available to her was an audio book library. They sent out a special cassette player and books recorded onto cassettes. I still remember her sitting at our kitchen table listening to them while mum was working in the kitchen.
I think this is wonderful for sighted people too. One day we’ll all be gone and one of the first things that leaves your memory is the voice of your loved one. Having these for special occasions would be like having the person there again for birthdays or anniversaries.
Very much agreed, but also, hopefully no one planning to keep them as memorial pieces goes with a company that still uses the same tech as some 90's toys 😅 I'm looking at you, random Pikachu which used to say its own name before it started making eldritch horror noises! I'm not sure if it's a data corruption thing or just the speaker physically failing over time. Still lasted over a decade to be fair.
I've had this cards for 15 years in germany now, I often saw them and once I gave one away to surprise my grandpa. Even when you're not blind, it can be a huge surprise and make someone smile. I love it
I got a C-pen (a pen that scans text and reads it to you, gives you definitions, translate words, etc) from an academy award from disability services because I have severe dyslexia. I mostly got it to help me get through textbooks but its even made pleasure reading a thing I can actually enjoy!
That brings back memories!! I remember when I was about 3 years old, I had a card like that and it would play music instead whenever I pressed the button.
Love this idea. I had never heard of it before! Cute matching nails and lipstick today too. You always look so great. These colors look perfect on you and would look pretty on my daughter too, I think😋 I may have to copy you…
That’s great. Would be amazing for all, they you can record your own voice. That’s amazing. Be good for people with memory issues too so can record a comfort saying or something to calm them.
I love that! I don't have anyone close to me that is blind, but it's always good to know what accessible items there are! How long can the voice message go for? Is it just for a minute or two, or can you record longer messages?
I love this! My dad is completely blind and it's so tough finding gifts besides the basics like tools and clothes. Will you please do some more gift ideas!?
Thank you for sharing this Molly! I'm definitely buying one for my grandmother who struggles to read greeting cards, now I can record the message for her instead! Lovely video as always
We used to get something similar for my great grandad before he passed in 2014, they didn’t let you record the message though it just read out a phrase like “Happy Birthday” and stuff!
I have a cousin who doesn't speak my country's language, so this year for her birthday we send her a card that we recorded in her language. In that card you pressed the button to record and open it to listen.
Hi Molly! I love your content, it has really helped me learn more about my nephews life. He is 5 now and is completely blind, do you have any ideas on possible gifts for him please?? I am stuck for Christmas and birthdays now. Keep up the good work!! ❤
While this was fun and awesome! Is anyone else looking at her outfit and IMMEDIATELY screaming Belle!? 😂 it’s the blue and white combo 😂 sorry. But this IS AWESOME though
Is it a name or address under your hand? Or? I never heard of that beforw but id assume there wouldnt be anything written/printed.on the card since its voiced? That or the personal information would be in braille??
I don't feel like I could present something while carefully covering the personal info but leaving the relevant info unobscured. I guess that's making use of tactile skills you have focused on as a blind person.
I’ve lost over 90% of my vision. I wish I could get some help! I’m alone and it’s so difficult to go on. I’m only 69 but feel such sadness. I’ve reached out to Medicare but they’re no help!
Guys she isn't blind . Ok IF she is blind how she looks around how SHE know the in the video that she don't know what was her eye color HOW WHEN SHE MADE IT BIGGER AND SAW WHAT COLOR SHE SAID THE COLOR PF HER EYES OMG

Hey, how about we stop doubting the disability of online strangers when we know nothing about their particular circumstances or about their disability in general, yeah?

A gift tag can have a message up to 60 seconds, while a VoiceLP can be up to two hours.
@@ragnkjaWait, you mean LP as in record player vinyl discs? That’s awesome!
@@that-weirdogirl
No, it’s still digital, but the letters LP mean the same thing in both cases: “long play” or “long playing”.
Wow that’s so cool! I just love seeing accessibility become more common and in more things like this.
That would also be nice for smaller kids who don't read yet!
Your jewellery and outfit is everything ❤
Wouldn’t this be so fun to receive! What a fantastic idea ❤
Wow that is really nice and cool! Amanda is so kind to get that for you
So cool! My mom loves to read, but is struggling to read because of age related eye problems. This would be so cool to get for her.
This is awesome!

How do you maintain such good eye contact with the camera? I have very bad vision, but better vision than you, and I can’t even do that!
I’ve lost over 90% of my vision. I wish I could get some help! I’m alone and it’s so difficult to go on. I’m only 69 but feel such sadness. I’ve reached out to Medicare but they’re no help!
I’m so sorry you are going through this. I hope you can find an advocate who can help get you the treatment and care you need. ❤️
I'm so sorry. I hope good things come to you soon, you deserve the help!
Who does your makeup? I can't even do makeup anymore, and I'm not blind. 😂
