I can feel your joy! Thank you for sharing. Yes! I feel the same way just before during and after visiting the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. It’s held every year during the first full weekend in May. As you said it is such a great feeling that it can last and last. 🥰

Hi Ally. I'm a knitter from South Island, NZ & have recently discovered you & a few other Australian podcasters. Thankyou for sharing your Bendigo experience. A friend & I put together a new knitting/yarn event in April in our local town of Rangiora, Knit & Gather North Canterbury. We had two NZ pattern designers, Libby Jonson, Truly Myrtle & Lisa Craig, Lisa F Design teach classes on two days then had a traders day on the third day. We were thrilled with the response & already have plans for weekend of 28th to 30th March 2025. There are several Truly Myrtle three skein shawls that your yarn would work beautifully. Bendigo is an amazing experience and the yarn and craft vendors just seem to expand every year. Hope to bump into you next time Ally 😊 The Bendigo back room is well worth checking out. I got some bargains at the Wangaratta wool mill (now owned by Bendigo) on the way to Canberra 🥰

I really loved that pink from the back room of the Mill you got. Would love that for Ami Lowden's Mayberry cardigan.

How fun !! I’ve been to 2 fiber festivals in my area DFW fiber festival and East Texas fiber festival. Really enjoying your podcast and beautiful knits. I’m currently working on a fall cross stitch project but still want to knit all the things too!!
Lovely to briefly bump into you at Bendigo. You got so many amazing things! The i-cord maker is from Cat and Sparrow. She makes a lot of 3D printed tools including turkish drop spindles. I was tempted by the i-cord maker but I had already gone way past my budget by the time I saw it.

I think leachim will be at the Mintaro fibre festival in September. Went a couple of years ago and it was part of the Clare Valley Festival of the lamb. Adore their yarn. My Last years SWMystery is using this yarn 😊
That’s how I feel about flock in Seattle and also sacred sheep in Portland, Oregon. That’s always an option for a US one if you want a tour guide of the Pacific Northwest 😉
