Nvidia surround is the most confusing goda damn night mare to get set up. I swear to god I am just so fed up with that shit. Every time I want to race I spend a god damn hour fking setting upo that bullshit.
This is great guide but unfortunately it's not my issue, I'm only using 2 displays and when I untick the span displays it shows it's doing something but stays as surround afterwards, any idea's?
i did all steps correct but now my second monitor if its plugged in my main monitor comes up and says no signal if i disable my second monitor by unplugging it it makes main come back on i cant plug it in or i get no dislpay on either btw my second comes up with out of range
Well playing with this today. Will try going surround first the nVidia. Worked no problem in Win7 last several years but now using Win10, like starting over again trying to find what works. Why is Win10 typeset layout just harder to see what you are looking for. Took me 5 minutes to find the shut down icon!
I have broken two machines by setting surround - on Nvidia 980 and one Nvidia 1080ti - the only thing I can think was a problem with setting up the 3x4K monitors as both machines had them on and that they are all 30fps monitors. I could not turn nvidia surround off I could not do a fresh install of the NVidia Experience software. It was a real problem and I have just managed to get two screens working again and the NVidia Experience will not updater anymore. I had to take Windows 10 into recovery mode so many times to try and fix it, but no joy. I do not want to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on the machines. Putting a 4k monitor that was 60fps worked and allowed me to fix the machines to get them in some sort of working order. I will not play with NVidia surround again :( .
its so stupid on my old Windows 8.1 Pro it worked fine but on my Windows 10 pro now it only says at 3d Settings, Setup PhysX Configurations and not surround next to it?
mine doesn’t work man wtf. When I play a game lets day, it only shows the game on one monitor still while the other monitor is straight up black screen
I have a GTX 960, and I don't have a G-Sync option in Nvidia control panel, so I disabled V-Sync instead. When I tried to enable surround, my monitors were all unchecked. They are all running the same resolution and refresh rate (1280x960, 60Hz) when I check them all in the list, order them properly and then proceed to click "enable surround" I click it, and... Nothing happens. "Apply" is also greyed out. However, when I click 'cancel' I then get a message saying that "surround is enabled" but there is nothing different about my setup. If I try to click "configure" again, nvidia control panel crashes. Please help! I've been trying to get this working for over a week!
I have now done that and I am having the same issue. However, if I only choose my center and right monitor, everything goes perfectly fine. If I attempt to use the left monitor in any configuration it does not work.
I have done that as well. Multiple times. I just tried the same settings as I did a few minutes ago with a different refresh rate and nvidia control panel crashed. I tried to reopen it and now my only configurable option is stereoscopic 3D! I can't even change my resolution now.
well i m not sure if my screens are compatible or not awesome video but i have a apple screen think a 24 inch and a samsung 24 inch curved screen but i keep getting about some timing must be right on both screens when i piut on surround and i did that but still no luck anyone have a suggestion how to fix this
@@atomicswift5356 when i go into nvidia control panel and go into the suround thing and press configure i go into the menu and i see both my 2 screens come up so when i select both of them it gives me this exact error saying 'surround requires displays that share at least one common timing. Select different combination of displays

it is so damn stupid that nvidia still has these issues. AMD has had moving in and out of eyefinity seamless since back in the 69xx generation. Not only is it one click that remembers all positions and doesn't disable anything, but it's even better... I hot-plug a 4th panel and amd drivers always remember the active config of different topologies, so the moment I plug in #4, it auto-enables eyefinity on #1-#3, makes #4 an extended display in the position I last had it at and it just works. When I unplug #4, it automatically goes back to extended desktop on #1-#3. I just switched to a 1080ti and while I love the power of this card, the stupid config hassles on nvidia's multi-panel support are more than 4 generations behind amd. It's frustratingly silly they haven't made this better yet. I know you're calling it easy, and it's certainly not complicated, but if you ever try this on AMD you'd know how dumb the nvidia process is.
I have heard amd is much easier to enable eyefinity each time. It just sucks amd cards arent as powerful as nvidia.i had amd before but i switched to nvidia a few years ago.
AMD stepped up their high end but Eyefinity is absolutley broken with the new 2020 drivers, no adjustment/bezel correction, no ability to use mixed res monitors, no ability to select res to run at, all features removed.
It keeps restoring back to on when I hit disable and it's not working

AroLeonheart i would try uninstalling the nvidia drivers and reinstalling them

AroLeonheart i wish i could be of more help but i have never had that issue.try disconnecting and reconnecting all the monitors.

@@DoomSlayer47 when you reinstalled drivers did you tick clean install? I find sometimes that helps with wierd issues

i don't have configuration surround settings? why? I use gtx 750 ti 2gb zotac international edition
I looked around online and people r saying the option is available with that card if u use an older nvidia driver

yea I hear ya. would be nice if either amd stepped up their high end game or nvidia just made their drivers a bit better for multi-panel setups.
