Marketing, most people will see 8 gen 2 and say that's last year's chipset vs 8s gen 3 is this year's chipset even though it's only as powerful as a 8+ gen 1
I don't think you know what you talking about I got both s23ultra and s24ultra the 8 gen 3 is way more efficient and better than the s23ultra and way more powerful
**Absolutely junk if you're going to use it for heavy use or around the shop and it just gets real hot by just simply charging it not to mention if you want to take pictures in tight spaces it will not work!! ((I'm currently shopping something that the camera will at least work in tight spaces and it will not get super hot that it feels it will blow up))🙄***
@@KevoIogy That's nuts, I really like the phone quality, but it got so hot especially using it for auto mode during sunny weather. Maybe I should just get for S23+ instead.
@@Ashwill57 Yea. It was so bad that Qualcomm (the developers of Snapdragon chips) called TSMC back up for 8+ Gen 1 and 8 Gen 2 so those don't have heating issues. (The last chip they worked on before those was Snapdragon 865)
I think the S23+ is super worth it due to efficiency gains tbh. The battery life is so much better. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is such an amazing chip and the Samsuns have the bonus of the chip being more optimized for Galaxy! I'd say get it if you want longevity in your device 😊
On purpose Samsung is making people feel stupid for even thinking about " downgrading" to flagship phones. Hopefully One Plus puts SD card slots in OP13
However, I believe the decision to eliminate the SD card slot in the flagship series is valid. Using an SD card at a low speed will slow down the phone when reading data from the SD card. I think it's better to back up data in the cloud or on an HDD.
@@budi9705 stupid take. Having SD cards doesn't stop people like you from using other options. It simply takes away options from people who DO want SD cards.
@@budi9705 that's the silliest thing i've heard in a while. dont applaud or try to rationalize greedy corporate decisions. the only reason they did that was to charge consumers more for a higher storage, they can incorporate an sd slot on top of faster base storage, but that way people wont spend an extra $150+ for an additional measly 128gb $150 can get you a 6tb hard disk storage
I just chose the S23+ over the S22U and i couldn't be happier. The battery life is amazing, and the performance of this 8 gen 2 is out of this world. On paper the 8 gigs of ram might not seem like much but this greatly outperforms my s10 which also had 8 gigs of ram. The 1080p screen is also not as bad as it seems. The lack of wqhd does make some things look a bit soft, but as someone who has been using wqhd since the s6 edge plus I've gotten used to it. The best way i can describe the screen on the s23+ is that it's like a really good iphone screen which has Samsung's vibrant colours.

Typing on a white S22 ultra right now had it since launch still a beast except for battery life since the last update I'm hoping Samsung fixes it?

Lmao, i traded my last S21 Ultra, the S22 Ultra i mentioned (and a $80 Z Flip 3 with dots on screen) for a S23 Ultra
I have been thinking of this one since it released coming from an s21 plus exynos has failed me 😷
Is it worth upgrading from the s22+ to s23+
